Anyone else ordered from Amazon.co.uk, had it ship yesterday, and now being held at a local sorting office using "keepsafe" or is it just me?

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
So I just bought FIFA 16, my first ever football game. I've been really getting into the sport over the last 3 years or so and decided to see what all the fuss was about with the most popular video game on the planet.

Really enjoying myself so far. One question though... Can I play a full season with a single Premier League team? Seems like I can only do tournaments, or My Career mode where I just focus on training my one character. I just want to be able to play a full season with Everton from beginning to end.

When you start career mode, choose to be a manager. Then you get to manage a team through a full season with league and cups, control of transfers, etc.

I couldnt disagree more, FIFA is way more arcadey, feels much more like a videogame than a soccer game
I got to agree with me. PES feels much more arcadey than FIFA this year, which is one of the reasons I haven't bought PES.

The salt from the people who can't just throw long balls over the defence and run over and over again is really funny. You have to actually play some football now, like passing and defending, boring stuff, yeah.
This sounds really good. Hopefully I can still do those tight close control turns. Nobody could take the ball off me with Isco in FIFA 15. But I only just learned it after a year.

god damn, the new UT card design is ugly as fuck.
Can you show a picture? I'm curious.

Bought it, hate it.

Interceptions are way to common. When I'm holding a to mark someone with the ball and they pass, one of my guys will intercept and pass the ball really hard.

Passing is a lot worse. I'll aim at someone right in front of me and it'll either go for the guy behind him, or someone off to the side, and no, I'm not holding a down too long.

On my phone so can't tell whether this has been answered or not but how the hell do I change my skill game players?

Zlatan is my arena player but in the skill games I only have the Milan starting XI. Just default it to my arena player instead of making me pretend Mexes is a competent defender. I'm going to have to faff about with changing my home team constantly aren't I?

Yes, you can play only a full season if you want and can even control all the 20 teams in the league. The option is inside Tournament mode, and choose to play the Premiere League.

this game is what I would call a 'swarm' game, you get the ball and suddenly you are swarmed, it is like paying ping pong, constant interceptions, and I mean constant. people are arguing it is realistic, I would say it is not as no where do you see the ball bouncing constantly between the two teams. The game is now all about strength and I dont see how that is any different to the famous pace abuse?

From what i've seen so far on streams - i have yet to play the game - this year's FIFA requires something i don't remember FIFA ever requiring as mandatory:

Patience. Build up play. Pass Back. Pass to the side. Keep possession. Like real football.

All i see - at least most of the streamers, with the exception of maybe two - is people trying impossible passes (possible in the past, impossible in real life), spaming the sprint button with every action - first touches, passing, turning - resulting in a ball loss, spaming the L1-Triangle pass, rushing to tackle to win ball back, etc.
Also, the oponents this streamers keep getting do the same thing. This results in a orgy of missed passes, interceptions, losing possession on the first pass of the start of possession, etc.

It may not be your case, but so far, that's what i've seen.

The odd two streamers that were keeping possession and doing a good build up play, won every game i seen. I'm not talking a lot of hours, got not patience to watching people play besides checking a new game out, but i'm talking about 5 or 6 hours of games.

Yep, played a couple of seasons of clubs over the weekend and you really have to pass and move properly. The game rewards proper positioning and thinking a couple of passes ahead like real football, it's early days but I'm really liking what I've seen so far.

I am sure most here use custom sliders, but in case some don't, I highly suggest it. Operation Sports has a nice slider set that seems to help and the game plays better imo.

This pretty much in line with my experience playing it. FIFA is much more in line with the actual football this time around. I really enjoyed until now.

I'm just afraid that the long balls/sprint spammers will make so much noise that the current gameplay will be changed in a later patch.

But it doesn't work online?

Is the FIFA 16 Ultimate Team app out for Android? I can't seem to find it.

Couple of other changes that I really like is the lock-on radius seems to be reduced so again, good positional play is rewarded in both defence and build-up play. Stamina also drains much faster so if you spam sprint all game then your players are out on their feet for the last 20 minutes, as they should be.

Thing is, the praise i've seen on forums and stuff a like is far superior to the noise made by pace kids.

But the game as yet to release in Europe so... who knows.

Would you mind linking? I'd be interested in that.

Also, is it a slider for World Class? As far as I'm aware, different sliders effect different difficulty levels. As someone stuck between professional being a tad too easy and World Class being a large amount too difficult, I'd be down for a World Class slider that just tones down some of the aggressive defensive AI.

Does anyone know if the game is live on EU PSN digitally? I thought it would be going live later (midnight) but now I heard that the game is already available. Can't verify it myself since I am at work.

just a quick tip, do not, under any circumstance, use "A" for defense, its slow, easy to break and really bad positioning, i know its there, but it's better to not use it. just use L2/LT to keep a defensive stance while running with R2 (or not running) and press square/Y do tackle when he makes a mistake, Edit: or mark the pass (the player who will most likely receive it) and leave the ball carrier for your teammates with R1/RB for pressing

Or just switch configurations and not have the Passing button be your Contain button.
I never use contain, i do my own movement all the time.

Right now i have X-A to tackle, Square for team mate contain and R1 for Contain (which i never use, and tbh, should be removed from the game).

Leandro's post is a spot on post of someone complaining about something that has an easy fix, and also, it could be explained down to low reflexes - ie not removing your finger from A once possession is recovered.

How do they know what's inside the parcel unless Simply told them? (Which they surely wouldn't considering their track record)

I was thinking this, surely they can't just be holding all the dvd/game shaped packages from certain retailers for a day?

Amazon have allocated tracking numbers and have likely requested a hold be placed on a certain range of tracking numbers to delay delivery.

No idea, I got MGS 5 days early from Simply but today my postman had nothing, few people on Twitter complaining to Royal Mail too.

My friends copy arrived today, he got the deluxe version, he's a big fifa fan. Anyway we've just played a few matches and I could see from his face he was very underwhelmed. I thought it was rather bland also and it didn't wow any of us. No doubt it's probably a good game, but it just seems all rather dated. I won't be buying it as I still play Fifa 14, which imo is better than 15 and 16.

Right, it is only for anything you play offline.

Yeah it seems for World Class. Here are two different slider sets I saw.
