Ran into same problem. Played for two minutes and promptly uninstalled. Still glad I bought it to support the folks.

Really hope the shit actually works for the masses this time. Having to hear about secret times the beta was up, or mashing X for hours to get one match is not a beta you want to offer people. Saying there were two other betas is pretty laughable. Capcom already saying to expect issues basically doesn't help matters. Especially since I want to try these characters.

I played the demo on the Wii U and found it to be enjoyable. I actually thought the overall reception was positive?
Popped on Wolf3D earlier, 22 years on still plays like a dream. Depends on the game, your past experience with it and maybe tolerance to something a little older. I like to judge a game on its own merits than compare it to something more modern. Most older games that have say horrible controls still had them when it was released but you might have looked past that for other factors at the time.

It more or less just falls into the ok territory. There's apparently mechanics later on which are kind of annoying. But you know how people are with sonic.
Depends on taste too. I don't think Wolf 3D has held up as well as doom. Despite the age differences. Wolf is far too maze/labyrinth like for me. I did a nightmare in The old blood and quit since I got lost.

wolf3d, a game where you spend 75% of the time sliding alongside a wall jamming spacebar.
I mean that as someone who loved the game back in the day but boy it's not something that holds up well today. I really loved the wolf3d nightmares in TNO, though. Clever of them to put that in there.
Indeed, the stuff I heard about the first beta was frustrating at best. Hopefully things will have improved. Don't want to get all hyped up for nothing.
Anyway, I'm ready. I do hope that the Chun Li TE2 fight stick doesn't come out this month, as I need to eat!

More games should have, no need to have, a resolution scale option. My stupid TV when selecting 2560x1440 only handles frequencies of 30 or 24hz but DA:I at 3840x2160 the framerate wavers between 40-50 during gameplay and down to 20 in heavy DOF cutscenes. Knock the res down to 85% and hud stays crisp and framerate is solid.
True, true but then you probably wouldn't go to replay something if it wasn't your cup of tea or moved on from that genre etc. When was the Jaguar released? 95? That's the last time I played Wolf3D but must have completed it about 50 times on PC easy but I'm shocked I can still remember my way around the levels and where the secrets are. Guard positions were a little off but my completion times were in and around the par times. Doom 1 & 2 I know a bit better too but I think I've burnt myself out on those a long, long time ago.

Maybe you should add a small, non-invasive notification to Enhanced Steam that lets people know about the stream. It might help. /shrug
Potentially good. SF4 was shocking when it first came to Steam, but Capcom did a lot of work on the netcode and helped Valve fix some issues with the p2p connections, which has rather improved things. Ultra on Steam is pretty much spot on now.
Of course, crossplay with PS4 users adds another big complication to things. So who know's how that'll work out.

I think this go I'm gonna try a fight pad. I liked the idea of my pdp one, just the quality is shit. Arcade sticks just seem like too much hassle, especially when I have a SF4 TE stick that I would love to use but can't due to a busted PCB
