Konami preparing for the next MGS

Hopefully Kojima forgot to take his script with him for the game with the boss and cobra unit during world war II.

Supporting post Kojima MGS means supporting the Konami that mistreated it's IPs and employees subjecting them to horrible work environments.
Don't see why one would want to support that.

As shitty as it is... that is unfortunately how a lot of businesses work. If I boycotted every crappy company I sure wouldn't have much. As a consumer as long as Konami continues to make good games that is basically all that matters.

Maybe it'll be like how Star Trek got good after Roddenberry died.

Star Trek on the mind after yesterday.

Sure I would absolutely be interested in a movie take on Star Wars without George Lucas.

Uh I mean MGS without Kojima.

Was this news before or after the news that Konami LA was shut down? It's like Konami's trying to trick people who haven't been keeping up with news to invest now before they realize the rug's been pulled from under them.

It's hilarious that a lot of people will be saying this now, but not when that shit drops..

Yea. I'm disgruntled that everything went to shit between Kojima and Konami, but I'm not going to not be interested in a future Metal Gear title simply because Kojima is not on it. In fact, I've grown so tired of what he did to the story, I welcome a change with Konami (that is if they even manage to do anything with it).

i give 0 flocks about the franchise now that the whole team is no more. Even more, i would not buy it even if its good because how sabotaged MGSV feels, it could have been great, it could have.

Edit: I mean, why should i care about Konami now wihout Igarashi, Kojipro, Team Silent and Bemani, they are just the guys who made PES /shrug

I'm still very confused as to how this story is ridiculous compared to the MGS1, MGS2 and MGS4. In my eyes, they've all been pretty dumb.
I guess they are, kinda, but there's something about this
language thing theme
I think is so stupid that it eventually just made me shake my head and I stopped playing the game towards the end of it.

In the end, could be good if they stray from the beaten path and opt to not have Snake or anyone return. New universe, new cast, new intrigues, perhaps even a new concept for Metal Gear? It doesn't need to keep being a mobile terrestrial platform for nuclear weapons.

ll probably pick it up. I'm willing to give it a chance.

I love Kojima but MGSV was a bit of a dissapointment for me so I'm open to alternatives.

For me, the idea of
lingual bioterrorism and cultural assimilation
is one of the few interesting themes in MGSV.

(only interesting theme?)

I'm ok with this. My hope is that Konami has no original ideas and just remakes MG, MG2:SS, and MGS on fox engine and says be happy. I would be fine getting Outer Heaven and Shadow Moses in the Fox Engine.

MGS V is a masterpiece, I don't want a MGS without Kojima.

Edit:

I can't take this piece of news seriously, Konami please, Kojima on vacation? Huge investment for the next MGS game? Closing Kojima Production L.A? lool

Like every other interesting idea MGSV has, though, they do nothing with it. They just lay it on the table and say "Hey, this is a thing."

This thread has really restored my faith on MGS fans. :)

I like that people just point out what the game really is. Even when its a good game, its story is just terrible. With no real point or focus.

Thanks guys.

That's how he's treated literally every major social, ecological, or political issue that's ever appeared in an MGS game.

It never ends!

Kojima or not, after MGSV, no longer interested in what was one of my favorite franchises. Would love to see Kojima on other things, I think...

Ha ha ha ha...

Konami truly is the Metal Gear company now.
Sure... I'm interested in seeing this Snakes Revenge 2.0. I hope it's a glorious mess that puts them under. <3
