Do you watch the credits after you beat a game?

Credits are far too long in modern triple A games. If I really loved a game and they had nice visuals I used to watch them but I'd rather not spend 15 minutes watching names go by nowadays.
I usually watch for a bit then let it run with the music in the background for a bit if that's possible. But I definitely don't want to sit through 15 minutes or longer.

I liked how Until Dawn end credits were made.....if more dev's make it like this.

So kinda extra small story to the game's end maybe?

Some trophies require to watch fully the end of the story too.

But my answer to OP's question is : 90% NO, 10% YES + kinda depends game to game basis.

No, I don't have time to wait. Blame companies like Ubisoft who feel we need to know every single person on their 1000+ person development team by name. I get it, many people made the game possible. I appreciate the hard work, but I'm not waiting 10+ minutes for names I won't recognize or remember.

If it's just a boring static screen with a list of names that goes on and on then no.

If there's something cool happening in the background and there's a kickass tune playing then yeah I might stick around.

Yes, always have the full credits roll. Won't necessarily watch them all, but I will stick it out to give dues to everyone that made it

If I like the game I order some pizza an watch the credits and clap to each name as it rolls by.

if I don't like the game or it is something that I felt bad about I calmly get and yell on the balcony so everyone can hear me. I then make a 10 x 10 foot sign with my review score of said game and hand it at the top of the building.

As and indie dev, yes. I do not read each individual name, mind you, but I like to take a glance to the different departments of the game.
I also like to read the special thanks, theres some usally funny stuff there.

Its even better if the dev has creates something cool to see or play during the credits scene. Or has a great new track or a remix medly with the best tracks of the game (nintendo games usually do this).

Its true when the PR people (and the guys on the publisher, not the studio) in AAA games start to roll I kinda not give attetion to it anymore.

I think I stopped watching them after seeing "Production Babies/Pets" a couple of times, was fine giving them the attention/respect they deserved, but did your baby/kitten help?

I'd watch them if it's my first playthrough. Reads the names and stuff.
I'd skip on 2nd one, unless I really like it, for example, Transistor(song) and Neptunia Re;Birth series(animation).

Always watch em EXCEPT, when the credits are selectable from the title screen. A lot of pc games seemed to do this. I feel like it cheapens the experience.

I like to watch the credits of a game.
It gives me a weird sense of accomplishment when the credit rolls and I'm always curious about the number of people that worked in the project.

Yes, but I get pissed if it doesn't have anything to look at and/or a new ending track. Unless it's short, then I don't mind. Basically, Ubisoft credits are terrible.

Never. It's just a bunch of random meaningless names to me.

I had a friend who used to insist on always staying through the credits at the cinema too. Having to wait for the bastard was fucking interminable.

I do and I don't. I don't specifically watch them to take in all the actual pieces of information from them, but I do use that period for a moment of post-game catharsis, letting the ending sink in.

I let them run while I'm on my laptop in case there's something worth sticking it out for at the end.

In general they're too long, though. We need a Hollywood-style system that establishes precisely who gets a credit in a game because I don't need to know who handled PR in Germany (or PR at all, for that matter) or the Portuguese localisation and voice cast.

Perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane.
Most of the time I do. A lot of the time, there's fantastic music playing, so I usually acknowledge that. However, I guess that would be considered listening to the credits rather than watching them. In fact, unless there's something going on on the screen that isn't just names scrolling against a black background, I usually just turn my gaze away until the credits are over. In that case, the only games I can think of where I actually watch the credits are Shadow of the Colossus, Ace Combat 5, any game that shows video or screenshots of your past escapades like REmake, SA2, or Mario Galaxy.

I do watch credits if I've enjoyed the game.

Feels like I'm respecting the devs and their efforts by doing so.

I got grounded as a kid because I told my mom her turkey roast could go fuck itself because they were trying to force me away from the Wind Waker credits.

Hahaha holy shit!

Always. Out of respect for all people that has made the game. They deserve it.

Yup, exactly this.

I sit through credits for movies as well. I just feel like it's a nice thing to do. Plus, it gvies me a chance to sit down and think about what I just played while listening to some of the game's soundtrack. A good way to relax after finishing something.

Nope I try and skip them all, I have better things to do with my time.

All the people saying they watch them "out of respect" are making me laugh.

I'm actually interested in reading the credits. Obviously I won't remember every name, but I'm somewhat interested in how many people did what, if I recognize any names, etc.

Saw the name of a guy I worked with remotely on a terrible Facebook game in the credits for The Last of Us... Good on him for that.

I usually never do. I may let it play if I enjoy the ending song or if there is some kind of movie at the end though.
