Rams not getting enough from quarterback Nick Foles

But with the wind swirling on the west end of the stadium, the Vikings threw a curveball, opting to have the wind at their back and giving the Rams a chance to win it to open the extra period. Rams coach Jeff Fisher admitted he was not expecting the Vikings to make that decision.

"I was not, no," Fisher said. "It worked out for them."

That it did as the Vikings couldn't have scripted it much better, getting the Rams to go three and out, forcing them to punt into the wind and promptly picking up enough yards to kick a game-winning field goal. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said he didn't want to give the Rams the wind at their back because kicker Greg Zuerlein had connected from 61 and 53 yards kicking toward the east goal posts.

What Zimmer didn't say but was implied was that the Rams offense, particularly quarterback Nick Foles, couldn't beat his defense without something special from running back Todd Gurley or receiver Tavon Austin.

Question on Nick Foles: Is This As Good As It Gets? Hope Not.

The problem: the more Foles plays, the more he’s exposed.

Foles has had some excellent turns in games; he was superb in his team’s two finest wins, over Seattle and Arizona. But the negatives are more prevalent and can’t be ignored or finessed. Foles simply isn’t getting enough done, and the weakness of this pass-game offense makes the coaching staff even more determined to run the football. We saw that in Minnesota, when the Rams had such little interest in passing they might as well as have adopted the Navy triple-option offense. Fisher has little confidence or trust in his offense to move the ball through the air. It couldn’t be more obvious.

The Rams’ third-down futility is the most corrosive element in their frequent breakdowns. As I mentioned in another piece here on 101sports.com, the Rams’ current third-down conversion rate (23.7%) is the worst by an NFL team since STATS LLC began officially tracking the stat in 1972. I believe that speaks for itself; this is brutal.

Yeah, it's why I don't bother with trailers nowadays but the Star Wars one really hit the right notes.

The Panthers have announced that they are replacing that poor man's banner and will probably change their sign policy to now allow opposing fans to hang their signs.

I hope Banner Guy is happy now and won't press charges against Cam.

Yes, definitely. The NFL is run by incompetent morons. There needs to be real consistency in punishments, every week. That's clearly not happening under Goodell and one of countless reasons why he needs to be replaced.

Part of the Fisher/Kroenke masterplan.

Sign Welker, make sure what's left of his brain dies on the field so public sympathy stops people being outraged at Fisher and Williams coaching dirty teams.

Kroenke can blame it on the crappy stadium and hold up Welker as a martyr showing why the Rams must move west.

Wes Welker's remains with be buried at the 50 yard line of the new stadium in LA, still in a Ram's uniform.

Line says it is dick compared to the manga cause it tries to cram too much, but we all know that doesn't matter since people who prefer animation will go to that.

It's good. Obvious the manga will be better but it's something you can watch.

Just catching up on news, sucks to see Lewis is out for the year. He was playing great and will def be missed on the field.

And man Welker is playing again?? Hope the dude doesn't get hurt again and cause serious damage to himself.
