Anyone pre order the special edition from amazon? Says mine will ship tomorrow and arrive next tuesday... I have 2 day shipping and have always gotten games on release day. Not sure why this is delayed.

Alot of people have been having that experience, me included. Talking to support does nothing. All I could do is bump up the shipping to 1 Day so that it arrives Monday. I did talk to one support person who said there is a chance it would come Saturday with 1 day shipping.

This is pretty much the only game I want to play on the win u. Time to find a friend that one and then would be willing to let me borrow their console lol

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
I haven't. I doubt it gets one honestly.

It has gotten commercials, for instance if you watch toonami with us then you will see commercials, which is the audience you want to see xenoblade commercials, they also showed a lot of fire emblem awakening commercials on toonami which led to its success.

I'm sort of torn on getting this. I always planned to, but now I'm having second thoughts. Never finished the first because I only have it for N3DS, and it's way too large of a game to play on a handheld. I'm afraid this will be another gigantic game I'll never finish, but I think it's still worth playing.

I do have a $25 Amazon gift card, so maybe I should give it a shot. I know next to nothing about it because I've been avoiding spoilers. I am excited about the online co-op, but I'm not sure how big of a role it plays in the game.

Online coop is just a small part in this game. More like a little assistance than an actual part of the storyline. It still is SP on its core.

4 hours in seems the tutorial just finished
Wow 26 hours quicker than Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros
or Final Fantasy XIII

so this means we have to download the game when everyone else does. how long does it take to download 20-30 gigs (How big is the game?) from nintendo servers nowadays?
Without knowing your connection speed this is a pointless question to ask. Also nobody can predict if speed will be affected by server load on Nintendo's end either. Best case scenario it is as fast as your connection goes, worse case scenario is is slower. In my case it would be about 2 hours but if you're one of the godly connections in Finland you could get it done within an hour. If you're on a rural UK connection it could be 24 hours...

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
I feel like if Xenoblade Chronicles never came out in North America, X would have gotten better reviews smh. Like, 90+ on Metacritic.

24 hours until I can play, I'm picking the game up on my lunch break, and heading straight home from the office.

I've got the house for myself the entire weekend and I will literally do nothing other than play this game.

I 100% think it's worth playing even if you don't think you'll finish it. The game itself represents the idea that a JRPG can still be this huge, ambitious title that wants to eat up a lot of your time but isn't going to necessarily waste much of it. I don't like calling things important, but I do think XBX represents a pretty big thing for JRPGs in general.

It's, in some ways, a return to form to the sprawling epics that a lot of us grew up with as opposed to the smaller, niche titles that are the main way to get your JRPG fix these days.

Why do you say this? Why does it particularly matter, even? The game is getting the sort of reviews that would, hopefully, get people to pick it up. They've been overwhelmingly positive but not suckling at the game's teat. That's good, I think!

So just how much can you do with the character creator?

You can change quite a few things but there's not a huge variety among them, some hair styles are also locked behing a specific face, for example. You can still play around with a few things but there's nothing like molding the face (apart from choosing from a few base ones) and not a lot of options in the end.

TheMoon is probably polishing it up. It'll be up soon enough.

TheMoon(who is making it), could still be sleeping or working at this hour.

just got back from uni. it'll be up in a few hours. wasn't expecting you guys to be this hungry. I tend to put them up around midnight usually lol.

Or playing the game and forgot about the OT (¬‿¬)

I wish ... my copy hasn't even shipped yet^^

Had to walk past early retail copies today and suppress tears.

Not even 30mins into the game, and catch a glimpse of what must be a high level monster. Game felt a bit weird at first, need to mess around with the controls - but the game draw distance is awe inspiring.

Lyn would have been awful if not for her voice actress, I think. She super sells it and it makes it hilarious.

This is pretty much how it went with Laura Bailey in Persona 4 too, I feel like Rise could have been a super annoying character but Laura sold it really well.

i do have enough speed to dl it within minutes, so i was rather curious if there is some kind of cap or problems on Nintendos side. I never downloaded anything that big from Nintendo servers before and i know horrible stories from friends about their lame ps4 and x1 speeds even though their steam and torrents speeds indicate that there is nothing wrong with their connections per se. im from germany btw with 1&1 isp

It was, but there was DLC that added new stuff, and let you use that option immediately. As the DLC is included in this release, the option exists immediately (which is fantastic).

Ah, sweet. I won't be playing it till Christmas (still working on the first game) but it's nice to know the option is there right off the bat!
