Is the rule of thumb, if you can de-tach your camera there, you can forge there? I got out of Overgrowth and the area looks great for a back drop

I actually flew around up there and it's pretty cramped. Not very much has actual collision geometry, and if you fly too far in any direction exceeding Overgrowth's boundaries you're insta-teleported back into the map. You could probably fit two-thirds of a Lockout up there or something.
 
Eh, the Forger captured the green and yellow walls really well and Sword looks nice, but all of the overhead aesthetics are distracting. There's too many different shape and color decorations for my tastes, especially all the pipes.It's probably the most accurate Pit remake to date though.

It's been nearly a month and the way people are using the pieces continues to surprise me. Wish the Breakout pieces ate color like the scenery objects. They have a really nice rectangular texture on them.

I sort of agree. The blue and orange colors of sword tower clash a lot with the green and yellow seen in the rest of the map. I think changing the colors of sword tower to match the rest of the map would make a huge difference.

Only a minor complaint though, the map looks amazing, I could definitely not have come up with so many uses for all the different pieces. I think...

How do you guys deal with all the bugs in Forge? I was messing around in Forge with my brother and I made a simple auto-resetting catapult by rapidly rotating a long primitve block piece. Worked great, and flawlessly (for the most part)

Then is saved. Then next day I loaded it up, and now the thing is fucking broken as hell. Rotates the opposite way when triggered, when it resets it is usually off by 10 or 15 degrees of its actual original position. I just clip through the piece now instead of being launched by it. For some reason it just randomly changed the physics of my catapult to "normal" causing it to fall apart while i was messing with fog options.

Asked this in the community thread, but I think everyone at the time was pre-occupied with Halo 4 on AGDQ, and this is Forge related so here goes...

Is the file share not working for game modes? I was trying to show my friends Duck Hunt and Team Sumo but it won't let me access the game modes for it (it recognizes the maps though). :/

Selecting gametypes is really finicky for me. What I normally do is back out of the customs lobby, or choose a 343 gametype and then choose a custom gametype. Or a combination of both.

after looking at it in game, I really do applaud the guy, it looks great.

in terms of 1:1'ness, he definitely took a large handful of liberties with angles, distances, small areas here and there, but theres no doubt its a beautiful portrayal, and more than satisfies anyones nostalgia and desire for that gameplay feel.

It's actually pretty easy to set up it's mancannons (it's also much easier and faster to build maps now, even over Reach and 4)

I'm throwing mine out as a Spire remake though, I'll just make it an "inspired by Spire". Current version is "Super Cragmire WIP" on my files

edit: although Alpine's river side is almost exactly like the riverside of Spire in terms of layout (and having a river), hence why mine was on Alpine
 
Just wow. Honestly looks like a dev map. Absolutely beautiful. This guy needs to do a proper remake of Headlong.
Someone did a Guillotine redux, that looks better though might be too dark. They need to get rid of the Lane dashes on the roads, it just ends up looking bad less is more there.

Standouts that should be in MM: The Pit remake, Deadline and Arsenal.

Personal favorite Ice Drop.

I would rather pay someone to take all the pictures and videos of my maps and make my forgehub posts. I used to love doing that, but I can hardly be bothered now :/

I wonder what we can expect forge wise in the new update this month. Hoping we get some more curved objects to make proper covie themed maps.
