Needs more half-tuck.

The new island's giving me dark Drake's Fortune vibes in the best possible way.

It looks better without the silk screening. But out of the destiny systems, the one with the graphics looks better. The GOAT ps4 is probably the MGSV.

That has nothing to do what with I said. They should be having bundles for both games, no reason to exclude a massive game like SFV in NA.
Yea I think they should have done a limited edition console, but this is also a service, so maybe this is just day one taking it slow. So far only the Europe bundle and Japanese bundle have been announced. And Europe is a 1TB black console

Amazing how much better a ps4 looks when the whole thing is the recolored instead of leaving that fucking glossy part black. This one, the red MGSV one and the PS1 grey are the best looking PS4s by far.

Killzone and inFamous are 3 million sellers, just like Street Fighter, nothing wrong with what I said.
Are you just talking about the base game? Like OG SFIV? Because SS, AE, Ultra, DS version are like 8 million sold or more. It's bigger than Killzone and Infmaous.

Looks really good and seems like it's going to sell all the units on day one, but even if it was a dissaster, it would sell like hot cakes.

I really tempted by the new DS4

They should, but your statement was incorrect, Street Fighter isn't any bigger than Sony's mid-tier franchises like Killzone or inFamous.

Killzone and inFamous are 3 million sellers, just like Street Fighter, nothing wrong with what I said.

You were right re:Street Fighter vs. Uncharted, but this is untrue.

Street Fighter IV sold more than 8 million copies throughout its multiple iterations, is a huge factor in the fightstick business, kickstarted the entire fighting game genre again and generates a shitton of money for esports events.

The impact of a new Killzone or inFamous pales in comparison.

Shipped and sold are different things.

The article I got this from stated 'sold' and not 'shipped', but all in all, that distinction is completely irrelevant for the point I was making.

Why not? We certainly count remastered versions of GTA and TLOU when we do this sort of thing

We're talking about the buying power of a single product, is GTAV 54 million strong? Or is it closer to 35-40?

It's obviously the latter, re-buys are good for the publisher, but we're talking about the power of the brand.

And what I discussed was quite obviously about the power of the brand. Did you read it or just quote it?

Pretty sure you're just refusing to backpedal on your Killzone and Infamous statements. I was with you on the Uncharted thing, though.

Proudly debt free. If you need a couple bucks, just ask.
Anyone know the html color code for that gray/blue? I like it a lot.

Killzone and inFamous are just examples, my point was that SF is fairly niche compared to most AAA games.

Street Fighter has a ~3 million fanbase, very dedicated and will make you more money than the average person, but that's irrelevant to the original point.

I don't know why people are feeling defensive, it's okay to like niche games, look at my avatar.

The colour looks really feminine and a bit too understated for me. I have nothing against feminine things, but it doesn't scream Uncharted due to its colour scheme.

I have no reason to buy another console until hard drives are improved, but may buy the controller -- as I said -- if it looks nice in person. I have a problem where I buy controllers but never use them, and it's like smoking in some ways.

If I had a plain black ps4 I would upgrade to this for sure. Got me a gold ps4 so I can't justify it, even though the color on this destroys gold

I believe the potential of a game should also include its community and impact on it. I don't think KZ and Infamous have a big and dedicated community like SF does.

The thing is, they never bother to commission some artist to do a thing specificaly for the PS4. It's always some dumb vectorized asset that doesn't fit the shell. It's lazy.

The MGSV was great. Minimalistic and still recognisable.

Oh, I completely agree, but I think a big problem if Sony tried to do that is, Drake doesn't really have anything that's super recognisable about him, besides him, I guess. Though I suppose they could have at least tried going that route, the steelbook case cover art looks great, so maybe a really good artist could've pulled something off, without just sticking a big Drake on it.

I'm not debating that, and those two games are just examples. But SF is not "huge" in any way, shape, or form.

Street Fighter is just like the Souls games, very dedicated fanbase, but fairly niche compared to most AAA games, there's nothing wrong with that.

Well, speaking purely for myself, I'm not defensive about SF at all. I think SFV looks terrible and I'd rather just go back and play Third Strike.

I just disagree with your point :) You said 'Street Fighter isn't any bigger than Sony's mid-tier franchises like Killzone or inFamous'. That's just untrue no matter what definition of big you're using. Power of the brand, niche, sales, etc.

I'd say Street Fighter is about halfway between Uncharted and the mid-tier franchises you mentioned in terms of popularity. But it's hard to measure due to the huge community and franchise-related revenue.

I wonder how much this will be? I was hoping for a standard black bundle with Uncharted 4 since I haven't gone in for a PS4 yet and thought maybe I could snag one for $350

This one is $399.99, but there will be a standard black PS4 bundle too for the normal MSRP price.

I know what you mean, but we're arguing two different things, SFV will bring in more revenue of course because of the aforementioned reasons, but that's not what I'm arguing at all.

Street Fighter's brand power is approximately 3 million people, that's exactly what my point was, nothing to do with Capcom's revenue, it doesn't matter if those same 3 million bought 10 editions of the game because that does not interfere with my point.
