Awesome. Guess I now care about Star Trek.Nope, he's doing both. Staggered orders/production, offices right next to each other, etc.

And, looking at Bryan Fuller's resume, he worked on 81 episodes of Star Trek Voyager... hopefully that doesn't rub off in this new show.
Which I think would be frakking fantastic.
CBS getting Fuller for this also makes me think CBS is open for this being something different. Sure it's his dream job and he worked on a Star Trek before but I just don't see Fuller jumping on without some kind of creative control and you don't look at his past shows and immediately think of CBS material.
This is probably the most I will ever be interested in a CBS show.
Loose analogy: It'd be like finding out Joss Whedon got the job on Avengers and referencing the fact he used to work on Roseanne.
Roseanne would certainly look better on his resume than some of his other work that he did prior to Avengers.
Wasn't meant to be a shot at you! (just Helix) I know that's not how things work.be nice :-(
Yikes, I agree with this 100%.Why are people mentioning Wil Wheaton.
Fuck that shit.

Was expecting a disaster. Now anticipating a triumph. Now get Ronald Moore and we're really talking.
They're decent, but not great. That said, his credits on Star Trek aren't half-bad.
Every Star Trek has someone involved you could say this about. It's a miracle there are multiple amazing Star Trek shows.Kurtzman is involved? There goes any hope of this series being any good.
i should watch hanibal, what streaming service is it on?
Finally a new star trek show
Oh man Ronald Moore guest writes would be GOAT. I hope he takes over the show when fuller leaves
(that was the show)
You're missing the point, though, even if you're joking.
Voyager was a LONG time ago. In my opinion his more recent work has been incredible. Bryan Fuller earned his place among my top tier list with shows like Hannibal so this news personally has me beyond excited.

No, I get it. Even though I don't think Joss Whedon is one of the best examples.
Bryan Fuller has had a good run as TV producer so far, so I am looking forward to what he comes up with. I just hope he has taken down some notes on what to avoid from Voyager.
Exactly. If there were messageboards in the 1960s, they woulda been saying it about fucking RODDENBERRY.
Will Wheaton as captain.

So how many of you are going to subscribe to their VoD service to watch it?
Nope, he's doing both. Staggered orders/production, offices right next to each other, etc.
And as a reminder: He's been gunning for this since 2013, and spitballed his pitch on the record back then:
The Reliant. Captain Angela Bassett. First Officer Rosario Dawson.
ugh after Hannibal i'm not very excited for this.
Bring Kes back...
Oh wait..
