Is it not possible to order from the Ori store if you're from Europe ? Or is there a chance later on ? I'm hoping to be able to buy the plushie, mug, art work and hopefully a collectors edition of sorts. Right now i'm unable to order the art work which looks phenomenal.

I tried to buy a canvas (from the UK) but yeah it states US only for canvas. Was gutted but it forced me to buy a canvas from a different website here in the UK (with a picture from the net...) instead so I'm happy overall. I agree though - wish the merchandise was on amazon or something.

As long as the physical edition (fingers crossed!) isn't US only I'm happy - otherwise I will be rioting!

Ori was a huge success for us and we sold way more copies than any of us thought we would - We can't release any sales figures due to NDAs, but yeah, we're already working on new projects. And I'm SUUUUUPER excited about the stuff we're currently doing, it'll blow you guys off your socks :) So thanks to everyone who supported and supports us by buying Ori - It definitely helps us making more and better stuff! :)
Really good to hear. You created something really beautiful, the first side-scrolling platformer I've completed in years.

Im guessing Microsoft are happy too, its a great game!

Im sure its something you can't answer but I am wondering if your games will still launch on Steam in the future (past Ori DE which is confirmed), SteamSpy had really great numbers for Ori which I'm sure contributed significantly to its huge success.

Will you be sticking with MS for future projects (obviously for Ori, I guess) or are you looking to move towards self-publishing? I can see the latter being attractive if you are able to fund things yourselves now.

Just imagine how different the console world would have looked if Ori had been Xbox's mascot all this time instead of Halo. Wishful thinking, I know.

Probably been asked a bunch of times but, when does the new area open up and how do I get to it?

Edit: Nevermind, got it.

Glad to hear it, Ori will be an all time classic in my opinion.

Paid for my upgrade last night so I'm looking forward to getting back in and seeing the new areas. Glad to hear about the success.

Absolutely. People still play Super Mario Bros to this day. I think 30 years from now, we'll see people playing Ori in the same way.

Ohh yeah, first of all congratulations, incredibly happy to read this, I didn't ask for getting sales figures, just knowing that it has been a huge success is much more than enough information and makes me very happy that you're working on other game/s.Every award and sale has been deserved, one of the best experiences of the gen and the best xbox one exclusive for me,give thanks from my part to all the studio and keep the incredible work, know you can't disappoint us now :D

Is the de a worthwhile upgrade for a first time player? I have the regular edition but haven't played it.

Absolutely. It's only a $5 upgrade and you're getting quite a bit for that. Not only the new area/abilities but also improvements and features that didn't make it into the original version.

I don't know why I had any reservations about potentially playing this again. After just half an hour I'm completely in love for the second time.

Damn, after a quick death at the start I managed the Ginso Tree in one go! Pretty surprised as I haven't played it since release last year, but it feels great to know of that thing out.

That entire section is just wonderful.

Regarding Tom's earlier post it's so great to hear how well Ori has performed... Can't wait to see what's next.

LOL I just did the same thing.

btw: How to get to the new areas?

Thank you guys so much for your support and the kind words - I know everyone at Moon is reading this thread and it really helps with motivation to know there are people out there who enjoy the experiences we're making for you all :)

Just saw this:

Man, Ted Price and Jason Rubin were the kinda people in the western games industry I admired the most when I was just a teenager, playing my PS2, it's amazing to know that Ted Price loves Ori :)

Thomas, you don't get showered with accolades out of pity y'know

Music for Black Root Burrows is so freaking good, probably my new favorite track in the game.

They nailed it

It's our absolute pleasure to be playing a game like this! You guys should be awfully proud of yourselves for making something of this quality. Now, if you'll just give us a hint of your next project. Even if it's just a word. Ah go on..

Teleport to the Sunken Glades then you can scale the wall to the right of the teleport stone thing. That will lead you to the new area.

Edit: Also probably worth mentioning that you need double jump to access the area and stomp to explore it fully.

Found it, thanks.
Hollow grove and black root barrows at 99%...Don't know what I miss, gah!

Glad to know that everyone in your team are reading us, keep making special and innovative things(I'm upset of games that are clones of others)

You dont need double jump. You need wall climb to start it, and you need stomp to fully explore it, but you dont technically need double jump. ;)

Playing through the new content right now and I am blown away. These are some of the best areas in the game... And that is really saying something.

How do you get to the corner little island in the very bottom right part of Lost Grove? I'm at 98% and it looks like that is what I'm missing.

In the area left of that swim under the water, it's a secret area to the right when you're down there.

The new abilities are so much fun. They really add to the mobility of the game.

Yeah, they really add quite a bit to the game. Bashing your own light burst and dashing through the air are both amazing.

Got it, thanks!

Anyways, just finished getting 100% with all of the new content. Once again, hats of to Thomas and everybody at Moon Studios... they continue to blow me away with the sheer quality and polish they pour into their games. I think the new areas are easily some of the best in the game, with beautiful and varied art design, a variety of different gameplay styles and challenges presented, all underscored with a beautiful soundtrack (the new music is great! Spotted Gareth a fiver for the new music) and those little glimpses of story and lore... *deep breath* It's just really fucking good.

I might not be able to finish the game as I am leaving the country and my Xbox on Wednesday for a 4 month trip, but I could not be more pleased with the definitive edition and being able to revisit incredible game. Still a masterpiece, still my favorite new-gen title to be released to date. Thanks again to everyone involved with this game.

Also I took a shit ton of screenshots! Just couldn't help myself, off to go spam the screenshot thread with them.

Thank you, posts like these really make us all want to work even harder :)

There's a lot of really cool stuff we're working on right now. Ori is our baby, but internally we feel like that was really just the beginning. Everyone's super hungry about the new stuff, so I hope we can make everyone super happy again when we're ready to talk about our next projects :)

Can we please get a Steam release date already? Why can't a date just be released?

If they announce a date and then can't meet that date, everyone would just complain. Better to wait until they're 100% sure of making the date before giving one. My guess is, if they're struggling to hit that 21:9 support, that's likely the hold up. That new dash ability makes it to where you can actually outpace the game's ability to stream in assets, especially if you're going vertical. Trying to keep a buffer for 21:9 support with Ori's new ridiculous traversal speeds is probably a tough challenge.

Speaking of which...

Thomas - While tinkering around with the new abilities, I've outpaced the asset loading a couple of times, especially while going vertical. Revisiting the Ginso Tree in particular seems troublesome for the game's asset streaming. Going up the escape portion especially, I've had several instances where I can see about 20% of the top of the screen as nothing but blue-screen while the assets stream in above me. I can't faithfully recreate the issue every time, but have encountered it inadvertently several times now. I think the better speedrunners ecountered it in the original, but given my skill (or lack thereof), it seems to be easier to cause now, with the new abilities.

It doesn't seem like something the average player would run across often, if ever, but I can see it being an issue for speed runners, and it would be a shame to have it show up during live (streamed) speedruns. I figure you guys are aware already, but it seems that having that dash + light burst combination, along with an existing familiarity with quick routes, can lead to some less-than-optimal asset streaming scenarios. Is this something you're working on a patch for? Or is it just a necessary evil given the new abilities and allowing players to revisit previously-closed sections?

I beat the game today for the first time, really loved the ending. Now to go back and collect everything as well as find where black root burrows and lost grove are lol :) I must have just walked past those during my playthrough.

Or Microsoft could be dicking over the PC gaming community again since they are the publisher.

Steam Spy has over 600k owners, I doubt they have any plans to "dick over" the PC gaming community with Ori. Im sure people would have no problem complaining if it launched with issues... so they are making sure its done right. It'll be done when its done and you'll know its coming when it is

If a physical edition is announced, I would buy in a heartbeat. Playing through Definitive and remembering how amazing the game is.

Can't wait to see what they do next. One of my favorite games of all time.

I'm in agreement with pretty much this entire post; I'd love to double-dip with a physical copy.

I haven't played this game in a while before DE came out, I'm SO RUSTY!!! Walking into all kinds of traps, enemies and missing jumps, lol.

It was our decision, we decided to pull it last minute cause we saw some small hitches on various hardware configurations that we wanted to fix. We're in a good shape and got that stuff fixed, so I know I said it before, but there should be news soon :)

The issue happened to me more than once going horizontal, Ori goes to the edge of the screen but since assets are still loading it is stuck there till the loading is complete.

External HDD? It never happened to me using a mains powered 3.5" HDD but it happened on my brothers console which uses a USB powered 2.5" external. It doesn't seem to like slower drives.

I've played this for a few hours now, what exactly is new or has been improved about the fast travel/backtracking? The various wells that you can fast travel between were there in the original version, weren't they?
