You've got a good eye! I tried to notice discrepancies between the two controllers and couldn't tell anything. Could be a point towards it being fake, but it could've simply been moved or added/removed between different dev kits.

Actually the entire controller "looks" amazing but that's about it. I shudder everytime I think of the functionality of the controller.

The gamecube controller had the best ergonomics at the time, I remember being so surprised holding it for the first time how it melted into the hands perfectly.

I felt that way about the Wiimote and Nunchuk.

Listen, I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm disagreeing with the notion of sticking with the diehards. The diehards are there for Mario, Zelda, Smash, etc. Give them a way to play them and they'll come. Look at the Wii U.

I think it's possible for NX to do worse than Wii U, but it's unlikey imo. I only say that because that's a hard accomplishment to achieve lol.

Anyways, I wouldn't say Nintendo can't have another lightning in a bottle, however unlikely it is.

Agreeable response. I am also hoping for the best, as the Wii U actually got me back on board with Nintendo after many years of not giving a shit. But what we are seeing, if even close to real, will be a hard sell. Think about it. They must appease the Ninty die hards who love their controllers, the core market, plus the casuals who are already more than content with their phones. I am not being negative... I am just being real.

We already know Dragon Quest 11 was announced for NX at least.

I actually think the white one looks more like a retail product.

Maybe the white NX is the handheld (running a mobile tech demo) and the black device is the NX home console controller.

A mobile SoC is no cheap inclusion, if it's any good. Nintendo need a dumb terminal unit for the home console.

The top picture bevel looks like black plastic. I first thought it was that metal gray you get on iPhones, I think the controller would be a looker using that material.

The thumbs "blocking" the screen is a non-issue for me. I'm sure critical info is not going in the small space between the thumbsticks and the edge.

The lack of physical buttons is what is making me sad.
