My Nintendo now live! (Europe)

I really like it, the secrets are cool! Try clicking on the radio, blocks and coins.

The main downside for me is that points expire in six months, even gold ones, and I just don't buy enough digitally within six months to be able to get anything. Still, it looks like all rewards will be digital going forward too, so it's not like you're saving up for statues or anything any more. Maybe they are encouraging people to spend little and often rather than saving for years.

I've tried 5 times now unlinking and re-linking my NNID and still not completing the mision, is it bugged?

Have you answered what your favorite food is yet?

Once you do that and tap through a few more messages, it'll complete the mission. Even though you linked to your NNID ages ago.

I find miitomo coins to be weird. They're just platinum coins, right? Why rebrand them? Will they make a new coin type for every mobile game they make? Will it ONLY be for miitomo? Will the name of miitomo coins change to mobile coins or something? Seems silly

So what's the maximum amount op Platinum coins you can get today? I've got 500 of them and did everything except linking Twitter to my account since I don't have that. I already got the hidden coins on the bottom. No extra coins anywhere on my screen unlike what some have told me so yeah.

I've done all the missions I have available on both Platinum and Miitomo and got the 10 bonus for the secret mission.

Yet I'm still capped at 435 Miitomo and 460 regular platinum.

I did also get the 200 preregistration bonus.

The only issue I think that exists is that I never had to buy a rewards container. It was already there for me.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but do you get Gold Coins for redeeming eShop money cards? Or do you actually have to make purchases with your wallet money for that?

The site says:
When redeeming Platinum Points within a smart-device application, you can only use points that were collected within that application.

and
In My Nintendo, you can redeem points regardless of the OS of the device on which those points were collected.

So Miitomo platinum coins can be used on My Nintendo, but My Nintendo platinum coins can't be used inside Miitomo. It does look like each mobile game will have separate platinum coins. Assuming that they do, Miitomo coins won't work on those other games, and coins from the other games won't work on Miitomo. My guess is that this mess is due to Google and/or Apple policies on in-game currencies.

I gotta say, I'm a sucker for these point schemes. It's so satisfying to earn points just for logging into the eshop and miiverse man.

Sounds like the latter. And I think I've seen you in the Badge Arcade thread, so if you're wondering, it doesn't look like purchasing plays will count. From the ToS:

The number of Gold Points that you can earn will be determined based upon (a) the purchase price of the game in the applicable eShop at the time of your purchase, or (b) in the case of download codes, the purchase price of the game in the applicable eShop at the time that you redeem the download code. Purchases of downloadable content, themes, and other similar content are not eligible to earn Points.

My Nintendo and the Accounts page are now Brazil-compatible too. :p

No sign of Miitomo on the BR Android store yet.

Definitely wondering that, and yes... I may have been in that thread.
But you add money to your eShop wallet by redeeming eShop card codes, so... it should work?
I don't know, it doesn't sound like it based on the wording above. I think it's all strictly tied to the purchasing of digital games.

What's weird is it says the coins are based on the purchase price at the time of your purchase, but I bought a $7.89 game on sale for $4.99 and 10 gold coins showed up despite the current price.

Can anyone else in a "no Miitomo" country confirm that the maximum Platinum Coins we can get right now is 310? I don't appear to have any more missions to do right now.

Yup, that's what I would have if I linked to Facebook (I don't have a Facebook account).

That seems to be correct. I have 300, and the only thing I haven't done is linked my Facebook.

What's the unique identifier of my account? It's not the Nickname, as this can be changed to the same as other account nicknames, and the NNID link is optional... so I'm assuming the email address I registered with?

I bought Birthright digitally at the time of its release. Now I wanna buy Conquest. The thing is, if you go buy it directly from the eShop, it's the normal $40 USD price, but if you download it from Birthright itself, it'll recognize you already own that and offer it to you for $20 USD.

What I want to know is, if I buy Conquest at the discounted price, would MyNintendo count it as downloadable content (which doesn't earn you Gold points), since I'm buying it from the game itself? That's kinda weak if so...

I assume buying starfox 64 doesn't qualify for the gold points because it's just under £4.50?

Dang, pretty cheap for that game. I paid 30 bucks for my 3DS retail version. I don't think it would count for gold points then. I bought something for $2 and didn't get any points, but got points for something that was $8.50.

You might get points since I think it's a sale item...the rules are different.

It's a 50% launch discount so hopefully you're right and I'll get the coins.

They tell you on the game's page now exactly how many gold coins you'll get.

Same for me, I'm at 250 but have yet to do the 3 social media links and the weekly eshop sign in.

Ok, so I bought both themes now. Gonna save for Wario Wäre next, and then finally Picross. Hope prices will not increase in future or require gold coins.

Just bought WarioWare touched, got a 135 coins left over so the grind for Zelda Picross begins.
Site is great, my only gripe is that the one time completed missions should move to the bottom of the mission list so that it's easier to see which missions you can earn points for.

A 6 month expiry date on coins...

Why are Nintendo consistently such stingy bastards?

To me that signals the end of the "High ticket" physical items. A shame really, but perhaps it just wasn't going to be financially anymore viable on a worldwide scheme.

Still, better this than nothing at all :)

Yeah, those kind of items they want people to be buying in the online shop instead.

I think they are encouraging people to spend little and often, most of the rewards like '20% off x' seem attainable with the gold coins from another full-price purchase. It'll be interesting to see what they do as they rotate more rewards in, but I think it is pretty much going to just be downloads of cheaper software and discounts on more expensive games.

Encouraging people to collect points for years, requiring them to keep high-ticket items in stock and risk customers either never redeeming the points or not getting the thing they are saving up for is a bit old-school when they want to move everything about their rewards scheme towards being digital and usable on a phone. These kind of quickly-attainable smaller rewards are probably better for kids that think short-term rather than adults planning out thousands of reward points over several years!

Still, I got two of those Mario Kart trophies off club Nintendo and really like them- I'm saving them for when my daughter can play MK with me so I can give them to her. That's long-term planning :D

Yeah I agree that they will not be bringing back the big physical items but I still think the coins should last 12 months because not everybody is going to want to, or have the means to use Miitomo. Shorter expiry dates on discount coupons obviously makes sense.

I want to create a My Nintendo Account but I just don't get the email containing the code to register. Anyone else had the same problem?
