Next Call of Duty is called Infinite Warfare

Hope the campaign isn't a shit fest like Black Ops 3.

Both campaigns were rather crap. What's the point of the game being called Black Ops 3 when it has almost zero connection to the two previous games? The zombies campaign was particularly bad, forcing you to play through the same campaign levels with lengthy voiceover narration to justify just spawning in zombies instead of just the standard allotment of enemies.

The ONLY way I could see this being a good thing is if they're softlaunching a new IP, like Freespace was born out of Descent. If Call of Duty is countering Halo with a new scifi shooter, they could even reel in my perennially disinterested self.

I loved the BO3 multiplayer- possibly my favorite or second favorite in CoD, but that campaign was just unbelievably abysmal.

It was worse than Ghosts, and I absolutely loathed the campaign in Ghosts.

That's pretty cool and pretty much confirms the future setting but I thought that Infinity Ward and Treyarch had bad relationships in the past, why are they doing this?

that was the old school Infinity Ward (now Respawn) that never co-operated with Treyarch. The new guys are probably a lot friendlier to the other COD teams.

That was back in the Jason West/Vince Zampella days, the relationship now is not that sour.

I'm of the camp that believes BO3 was supposed to be a new subseries, but Activision decided to change the name to help boost sales through brand recognition, so they went and shoehorned a couple plot points from the other games in.

That said, I'm convinced that the campaign can't get any worse than that. I may have disliked Ghosts overall, but I still had some amount of enjoyment from the campaign.

This is "Naughty Dogs " COD, Activision hired some Big Naughty Dog developers and gave them control of Infinity Ward.. Thats why I'm excited

Maybe the some of the bad blood left when Jason West and Vince Zampella left along with half the studio. I remember hearing strange stories from Giant Bomb about the two studios not sharing tech with each other. Like how fire would look really good in one game and not the other haha

If they dont sell COD4 separately, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare better reinvent the franchise or they can fuck right off.

Only 10 maps, wat. If you're going to do it, why half arse it. People want the remaster more than they want a new CoD game.

Well said.
I want the full CoD4:MW multiplayer experience. With DLC maps.

Missed opportunity. They could have simply used all the maps from MW1, MW2, MW3 together and just used that as the annual multiplayer component.

Instead, CoD players are bound to be angry when their favorite MW1 maps don't make the 10-map cut.

I just came up with a thought.

I wonder if Infinite Warfare's story is based on the Extinction storyline from Ghosts?

For those who don't know, Extinction mode in CoD Ghosts is a separate timeline where the Federation didn't invade the US after the ODIN strike, but the Cryptids became the main enemy of the world. It would be interesting to see if Infinite Warfare somehow follows from that story.

It's not very likely that this is the case and it's just a brand new universe, but it gives them an extra excuse to continue the Extinction mode story in some form.

I really should just wait until the game is finally revealed, heh.

If this is a proper remaster, 10 maps is good amount.

People should really just wait and see until complaining all day.

Why does that ad say "Contains only 10 maps" That is strange marketing?

They are just letting everyone know right out of the gate so no riots ensue. Too late though 20 maps of bust outta here IW!
most likely the rest might be added for free later like halo 2 anniversary had some maps later remastered
