I seem to recall a banned site having a comparison that showed the PS4 version actually being a bit better than the PC release.

Not sure if they fixed the crash bugs in the PC version, but regardless, it sounds like this version is the way to go.

I disagree, the PC version contains the ability to add modded textures, 4K resolution, and Gallian Crossfire. It's also $10 cheaper.

I'd like to see a comparison picture using those textures and resolution instead.

Either way, it's good to hear that they did a great port, but it's bittersweet considering we'll never get an update to its sequels.

Really hope the overall sales for the remaster are good enough to make Sega consider a Valkyria Chroncles 4 for consoles/PC.And localize Azure revolution.

Never finished it on PS3, but I enjoyed the gameplay. Really looking forward to trying it again, and the price was right.

Not at all. The only thing you might find confusing is the ranking system which

favours rushing to an end-zone moreso than clearing out enemies.

No, it's pretty normal. Some missions are real roadblocks for some players, but most of the time the game isn't very hard

I loved the game on PS3 but I don't think I have it in me to play through it again, this sounds awesome for people that missed it the first time though.

It's a rebalance mod for the game.

It makes the game much more tactical and it stops it from just being a Scout rush. It's fantastic, and I can't go back to the vanilla game after using it.

If there's one thing I have to say I'm disappointed by it's the lack of any menu refinements and other QOL improvements. I was hoping they'd at least do that; there's some annoying instances of menu lag...

Honestly, I think Azure Revolution is probably going to be one of those games like Nier, VTMB, or Mass Effect 1 that stands up solely on its plot and lore, whilst the actual gameplay is shite. And out of those, ME1 is the only one I can name that's a critical darling ¯\_(&#12484

If Demo No.2 is still crap, it'll be too late to overhaul the gameplay in time for winter, unless the game get's delayed.

I mean, there's a zero percent chance it'll be nearly as bad as VC2 was in the end. Azure Revolution clearly has time, thought, and budget put into it, unlike VC2's rush-to-market-to-compensate-for-VC1's-poor-margins development cycle. At worst this was some Shining game that was going nowhere fast they decided to prop up on Valkyria's remaining equity.

What's Gallian Crossfire? I have the PC version as well. Triple dipped to show Sega my love but they constantly spurn my advances.

And as of yesterday it was $5 and regularly goes on sale.

I had the PS4 version preordered but figured why not save $20 and get it on Pc.

Great game, loved it on PS3 and while that steel book would have been cool. Very stoked to have it on PC now

Wow, it's about that time for it to come out? I've had it on order for a while and it should finally be shipping out. Good to see that there are no glaring problems with the port. Man, I really need to get a PS4 though so I can play it.
