Next to the name of the writer it says "AP" which is Associated Press. Is this review counted somewhere else in Metacritic under Associated Press?

lol then the 4/10 score from Washington Post is legit I guess -_-

But the review doesn't even have a score attached to it.

Yeah where did the 4/10 score even come from?

Wow so he was sick of games not ending after 3 so he gives it a bad score? What a joke review to just get hits. Then he attacks it for not being real. It is a video game and it isn't suppose to be totally believable. Well hopefully it can get back to 94. Also, why did this score have so much weight as who even cares about the Washington Post Reviews?

The ap link you quoted has 4 stars out of 4 at the end of it.

Somebody made a thread on what we're talking about now.

Absolutely wild how much people care about this stuff. I find it really funny, because if you ask a lot of posters here if they care about Metacritic, pretty much all of them will say, "what! No! Of course not, I make up my own mind about video games!" Then review threads come out and the truth is revealed.

The fact that someone would make a thread about a review that they deemed too low (even if it has been found to be in error) is completely crazy. Guess what, I have some serious problems with Uncharted 4 (the gunplay still lacks a great "feel", the overall gameplay of the series is still fairly uninspired when you divorce it from the visuals and spectacle), and while I'm still enjoying the game, it's not inconceivable to me that someone could honestly rate it a 4/10. People really, really need to stop tying their emotions so tightly to the game they're excited about.

Don't worry, they'll remove it lol

The fact that this happened should tell you a bit more about treating metacritic as gospel though.

I never made a thread because of that reason. Stop with the assumptions please. If you want to read the OP of the now locked thread, read it. But stop projecting please. That wasn't my point, and it never was. It was a simple misunderstanding as I literally thought it was a joke review. As in, written as a joke.

None of this is why he made the thread tho

A Thief’s End” is overflowing with useless detail. It overwhelms the eye with so many different points of focus that one almost clings to the over-the-shoulder focal point at the center of the screen, where the gun reticle can at least hint at a potential ways of engaging with all of the simulated objects and effects that are otherwise impossible to identify, let alone differentiate.

As a video game, this sense of adventuring was reduced to three essential pieces — long shootouts against mercenaries; interludes of cliff-climbing and ruins-clambering; and lavish movie sequences in which characters try to establish some emotional bond between an unlikely crew of helpers stuck working with Nathan. The games never made the case for why Nathan thought this was a better way to find a fortune than day trading, but the thrill of dangling from a newly disgorged tree root while being fired upon by RPGs was enough to make the series a success.

The “Uncharted” games have never excelled at storytelling. Instead, they’ve used it an accompaniment to overwhelming visual technology.

The best moment in “A Thief’s End” happens in the beginning, before there’s been time to think too much about any of these questions.

Uncharted 4 is not perfect, but cmon give me a break. This isn't even a review. It's an insult. It obviously from someone who hates on popular video games. Makes no sense that it is counted.

Btw, I still can't find the score lol. Like a person said above me, I think it's metacritic deducing what the score might be. Very sloppy way of doing it IMO.

I'm still baffled that this review carried so much weighting to knock it down from 76 all time to 115. Wow! I hope they remove that score as it makes no sense. Didn't Uncharted 2 have a really low review 60 or something when it first came out that has since been removed from Metracritic?

Series should have ended after 1? Why the hell you are giving such a troll to review this?

Here I hate the Mass Effect series, my review for the unreleased Mass Effect 4: "Should have ended after 1", like seriously this is dumb.

He is saying the game should have ended with part 1 meaning he at least hated 2 and 3

why have the desire to play the fourth game of an unnecessary franchise then?

Maybe:
AP: "Wow, what a great game 4/4." link

AP: "We gave it a score of 4. It's on the WP site."
MC: "This one? Yeah, you guys did not like it."

Although none of the other reviews MC has collected was AP.

But if you scroll down, you'll see unscored reviews. So why would they decide to assign a score to this review but not to the others in the "In Progress & Unscored" section.

Like I said the FAQ is probably outdated.
The Post provides scores to us.

4.0???

HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

This is amazing!! hahahahaha

Is it really that amazing though?

It seems like people complain about the impact review scores have on the industry, and then they turn around and create multiple 50+ page threads obsessing over every score and metric.
