Just a gut feeling, but I think that MS is gonna kill it.

Just a feeling.

But then again, I thought HDDVD was gonna be big.

Thanks. Were they actually listed in the vendor section at E3 when they used other dev's conferences for their reveal? Don't remember.

They definitely were not listed for L4D2 and Portal 2. Portal 2 was actually a "surprise."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1YHKwMaXPg

There are heavy rumors that L4D3 is releasing next year and that Valve will announce it at E3 this year. I've been doing some good ol' fashion Googling lol. It's no secret it's in development so I wouldn't be surprised if Gabe walks out for MS or Sony.

What I want to see at Sony's E3 conference.

Horizon Zero Dawn (please done be delayed)
Crash
Sucker Punch - Spider-Man game (Rumor)
God of War 4
The Last Guardian
New Red Dead
Dead Don't Ride

This alone will dethrone last years E3.

My E3 predictions / wishes.

We finally get official news on what PS4 Neo is (wanting a UHD blu-ray player) and hopefully something graphically impressive to show it off, God of War 4 ?

The Last of Us 2, new Jak & Daxter or Crash Bandicoot announcement.

Sony Bends PS4 game finally getting revealed.

Sucker Punch's new game announced.

A new look at Horizon Zero Dawn and confirmation if it's been delayed or not.

More news / games for PS-VR and GT Spot VR gameplay shown.

An actual date for The Last Guardian, it's more than time now Sony.

Xbox hardware reveal, will it be something to compete with Neo or just an Xbox Slim ?

Surprise Half Life 3 / Portal 3 announcements.

At this point I'd be happy if they just announce ANYTHING. Things have become so damn stale. Thanks for the info, I forgot.

Good list, but I want a new Red Dead despite which conference its on. Loved RDR.

Some random third party predictions:

- 2K announces a new Bioshock and a new IP that Ken Levine has been working on
- Warner Bros. announces Shadow of Mordor 2 and a AAA DC Superhero game from their Montreal studio (Arkham Origins team)
- Deep Silver announces a new IP from Volition
- Capcom announces the next mainline Resident Evil and a new game from Capcom Vancouver (Dead Rising team)
- Rockstar doesn't announce anything

I'd be shocked if they dont announce the Horizon delay before E3.

Giving bad news on stage seems... questionable.

Does it have a date though? When I check their website it says TBD. I know we assume 2016, but I don't remember them saying it would come this year.

Those are very likely and actually what i look forward to the most at the moment.

I get the impression that MS will be overshadowed if Sony announce their PS4K and they do not produce anything to counter this.
I feel they need to smash it this year and plan exceptionally well to stay in the race. The shadow of skepticism and negativity still loomsover their box, my thoughts are they should create a new device and distance themselves from the previous (X1) without dividing the audience ie backwards and forward compatibilty. Its going to be tough, but not impossible.

I can honestly see this being a pretty underwhelming E3 from both Sony and Microsoft.

Sony will spend way to long on VR and no one is making actual AAA games for VR so thats going to turn the hardcore people who watch E3 away. If FFVII Remake isnt there people will be asking about it. Crash will be cool I guess but I still expect a fully Activsion helmed game so that is whatever. Its probably God of War 4 time right? RIGHT? I guess that will be the surprise closer?

And MS just seems like they are just waiting another year so they can announce a new Xbox and put the XB1 out to pasture.
They can probably just do the typical MS E3 format but you replace the COD demo with Battlefield now I guess. They will probably do a few moves to make the hardcore happy though. Cult 360 classics on XB1 BC and maybe get a Persona 5 port even though no one on xbox cares about JRPG's. It would probably be cheap to get and its a nice "win" for them on paper.

I dont see the need for a PS4 slim. The Console is already pretty small.

Xbone on the other hand...

True, but I want to see what further magic Sony can pull off making the console have an even smaller foot print and also upgrade some components now that the manufacture costs have decreased. Maybe a better wireless card, built in transponder for their headsets, more USB ports?

If PS4 can reduce weight and size by 20%, plus saving costs on parts it would make sense. If you ship a few millions it's worth it.
XboxOne needs a slim more urgently, though.

PSneo will not be announced. It's for TGS. This one is all about VR.

Win10 will take a good share of spotlight. No Big Xbox game without Win10-version. There will be no upgraded Xbox, just a slim.

Software:
New resident evil
Red Dead
Left for dead
No Banjo or Crash
Battletoads
Some smaller PS4 games getting VR treatment like Hunger, Abzu.
GoW will be the centerpiece for Microsoft
GoW will be the centerpiece for Sony

I don't think Sony will spend a bunch of time on PSVR honestly, that's why they got it out of the way at PSX. I imagine there will be a montage of games that will be launching with PSVR at release though.
And sure there might not be any AAA games for PSVR but there are like 200+ studios working on PSVR games if I remember correctly including Atlus, From Software, Bamco, Capcom, Square, Konami etc. so there's a gem bound to appear somewhere in that mix lol.
We also already know the price for the headset and the bundle as well as the release date so I only imagine them announcing a few more VR games. They spent less than 3 minutes on PSVR last year, I don't think it can be that much longer this year.
Untill they announce Wonderbook PSVR, we're fucked! lol

I'm gonna try and stay as unhype as possible because I don't see Nintendo dropping bombs until their NX reveal. As far as what I'm going to expect and will be kinda happy to see?

Crackdown release date (Probably early next year)
Rare's Pirate game (also next year)
Yakuza date(s) announced (assuming they announce another to be localized)
Persona 5 date (would love their JP date to be a worldwide date, maybe simulcast anime with subs or a dub date)
Maybe, just maybe an Elder Scrolls numbered entry instead of more ESO
South Park Fractured But Whole dated (spring next year with WD2 or something this year, may be switched)
For Honor (Maybe this year, instead of WD 2 or SP)
Mass Effect date (potentially, maybe release window)
Titanfall 2 release date (Most likely early next year with BF1 being their holiday title)

I'm sure there will be plenty more but that's just to keep my expectations in line. I would love to go crazy and off the wall but no Nintendo has kinda killed my hype and I'm not huge on Sony so I apologize for not including their stuff. Though God of War would be pretty nice to see if it really is Norse, or Horizon.

The one thing I will say is I kind of expect Nintendo to do something pre-E3 (or maybe right after) as a big Pokemon thing. I know it's gonna be all Zelda but I can't help but think they're going to have something to divulge more Pokemon info to us and more than just a tiny trailer with starter pokemon. Would love to see some battle footage. That and they've still not announced the rest of the amiibo for Smash bros dates. Just give me more Pokemon info, maybe even just tell me what to do to import from RBY to Sun and Moon. Whatever, just give me more Nintendo. Please. :(

So is PC Gamer/AMD shooting for an hour for the PC Gaming Show this year then?

If not, I know most people will be switching over to the Ubisoft conference if they go over that hour.

Last year's show was way too long (can't fault them though, it was their first year, they wanted to get everyone in).

An hour show of just the goods would be a good fit IMO.

I'm really hoping for SEGA to announce Shenmue I & II HD for Steam.

If they don't, then I shall find myself copies of them on Ebay. Never played them before, but the announcement(and seeing the reactions of people) last year has made me interested in the series.

Yeah, I think PSVR will just get a section of new game announcements with probably another new exclusive one too and a new/upcoming VR sizzle reel, I don't think they'll do anything particularly time-consuming or a demo.

Is it wrong that I associate this composition more with The Last Guardian than Miller's Crossing now?

Nope. The trailer was timed to it so well too, it was really perfect.

Soooooo, because I can't help myself:

- Yakuza 0 is confirmed for 2017. Probably near the start since it'll have been a full year since 5 came out.
- Fallout 4 literally just happened and Bethesda has gotten into keeping time between reveal and release dates short. Last time it was six months and I understand next time they want it to be even LESS time.
- South Park, For Honor, and WD2 are all scheduled to come out before the end of the fiscal year. WD2 is all but confirmed for this year, while the other two are highly likely to come out this year too.
- Mass Effect is due out before March ends next year. Fiscal year type deal again.
- Titanfall is supposed to come out in October - December. My guess is December, unless EA is REALLY bold.

What's this Sony western game I've seen mentioned? I must have missed a meeting, never heard that rumour.

Any chance it's a collaboration with FROM or Capcom?

I wasn't aware this was confirmed as Dead Don't Ride. Not sure how I feel about that. I guess Western apocalypse could be kinda funny but...meh. I'll have to see the execution I guess.

It wasn't.

Whatever that western game is, its concept art doesn't really line up with what we heard about Dead Don't Ride.

Not really a prediction but rather a want in a return of the Burnout series. I would love a new entry in the same vein as Burnout 2, 3, and Revenge. That said, I would also like to see a remaster of Burnout 3 and/or Revenge as a digital download for the current gen.

The game market needs a return of the king of arcade racers.

I miss this series so much. I crave it.

Paradise was good fun but I want a return to the series' roots.

HAHAHAHA me too... I spent 599 on a Toshiba A1... some months later, went to my local pawn shop and traded it for a used PS3.
