September is almost alarmingly soon for the game's release date. 3 months after the first gameplay footage? pretty crazy.
Anyone notice that the rope is clipping through her hand?

Seems pretty likely. The game was originally supposed to be out by now.

The boxart character design is much better than the in-game stuff, sleeker and more unified. The 3D model looks overbusy to me, like a tangle of technojunk. Did they decide the design was too "feminine" or something?

Or maybe you acquire new traversal abilities through the game, starting out unencumbered but eventually able to leap/climb/etc.? That would at least provide context. But I still don't like the powersuit aesthetics.

I'm hyped, hoping it turns out well. If it's basically a Metroid-lite TPS in a focused open world (like... a Metroid world or Batman Arkham Asylum ), with some puzzle elements I'll be happy, I think. I mean, if it's pulled off well.

No, that's every other game that Inafune produces. He worked with Armature back at Capcom when they were working on the Metroid Prime-like Mega Man X reboot that got cancelled and he never forgot about them.
