I'm leaning towards one of these two games with my remaining money:

Crypt of the Necrodancer
Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Just for background, I love adventure games and rhythm games (particularly EBA and Rhythm Heaven). I'm not super familiar with roguelikes.

What would people recommend?

Heres the damage this sale:

- Life is Strange
- Oxenfree
- Undertale
- Hotline Miami 2

- Steam Link & Steam Controller Bundle

All set here :)

Waited till today to buy anything, ended up with:

Steam Link
Ghost 1.0
Downwell
Out There Somewhere
Life is Strange

Had quite a few more in my cart (Oxenfree, Party Hard, Axiom Verge, Flywrench and Grim Dawn) but realized I wouldn't be playing all of them anytime soon and decided to wait till the Fall/Winter sale to pick them up. These and Hyper Light Drifter (kickstarted it, have yet to actually play) should last me a good amount of time.

Bought:

BattleBlock Theater
Darkest Dungeon
Dead By Daylight
Dead Rising 3
Grim Fandango
Killer is Dead
Resident Evil Remaster
Ryse
Stardew Valley (gift to gf)
Steam Controller
Steam Link

About $150-160.

My first steam sale. Didn't spend as much as I thought I would. I was going to get a bunch of Bethesda games, but wound up not touching any of them.

My haul:

Endless Legend Collection Bundle
Sid Meiers Beyond Earth Complete
Endless Space Emperor Edition
Iron Brigade
Battlefield Bad Company 2 & Vietnam

I'll be busy for a while :)
Do people still play Vietnam online? Also yeah I was gonna get Morrowind GOTY but it was a pretty paltry sale compared to what it usually is.

Is GTA Collection ($10) worth it? Also GTAV worth for 36 + money cards (60 dollars total)

All I want to do is drive around and enjoy the open worldness of the game with unlimited life. Are there any trainers out there?

I just looked to give you an answer... 2 full servers, and 2 with 1 person on them. Vanilla BC2 has WAY more.
Has there been a more botched expansion? Presentation was top notch but, like, most of the maps (in a five map pack) being abysmal and the servers being separate is super disappointing.

I only bought Tabletop Simulator

There were a few others that were tempting, but they would just sit there adding more to my backlog. I figure by the time I get to them, it would be the fall/autumn sale anyway, lol.

I don't know, guys, but if I were running a company that wanted to entice people to give me free Steam keys, I wouldn't put "I would like you to give me _________ keys for your game to giveaway for free, which according to your Steam page, would total $9000" in the email.

Haul time!

Please Don't Touch Anything
Pizza Express
Downwell
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Ultimate Edition
Ryse: Son of Rome
Hatoful Boyfriend Complete Pack
Thief II: The Metal Age

Total: $21.82

I have mixed thoughts on BFBC2 vietnam, the sound design, atmosphere and weapon balance was PHENOMENAL and I'm so happy BF1 is ditching the modern/near future BS in favor of less attachments and tacticool scopes.

On the other hand the only 2 good maps were Phu Bai Valley and Operation Hastings, the others were linear meat grinders.

I will help you out for $8500.

Ys I&II Chronicles
Ys: Oath in Felghana
Ys Origin
Ys VI: Ark of Nefertitishism idk
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
Lili: Child of Geos
The Old City: Leviathan
Quake
The Room
Verde Station
Her Story
Gone Home

I almost bought the Steam Controller, but I'll wait for the Winter Sale.

Now for the last purchase I'm hesitating between all the Wadjet Eye games.
Geminie Rue, Primordia, or Technobabylon ?

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
Are the alien iso dlc worth it?

Crew Expendable is pretty cool just to see a lot of the original cast in video game form but it's not long. And kinda difficult.

The DLC is almost entirely gameplay focused from what I understand. Time attacks, minimum item usage challenge map kinda stuff.

Toukiden as well. They really are terrible at PC.

Putting it in Windows 7 compatibility mode works. Also having to use the STEAM controller just to get the game to think I'm using a mouse and keyboard since the XB1 controller goes absolutely crazy with the game.

Edit: Also discovered a new issue. Alt tabbing out of the game and coming back in causes the screen to grey out... My God Koei.... This game has been out for months and not one damn patch.

I have spent so long during this sale agonizing over what to buy. I bought Doom and loved it, now I'm looking for more games like it to try. I'm even considering buying Rage. Is it as bad as people make it seem?

So I ended up getting:

Portal bundle (1 and 2)
South Park Stick of Truth
Ys: OoF
Steam Controller

I'm tempted to get DOOM because it's discounted but I don't know if my laptop can run it. Games like Portal 2 run fine but on medium/high settings. Is it worth purchasing or should I just wait for an eventual price drop on ps4 later?

Edit: btw I'm so sad there isn't Castlevania SoTN on here. Not sure where I got the idea that it's on steam lol

I've bought nothing so far. I should really buy something, but I don't know what. Nothing's really screaming "buy me now"

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
Whats the name of that recent vita/steam game with the optional art styles? People called it baby's first dungeon crawler?

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Thanks a lot, that's still more than console has!

I'll think about it, I love BFBC2 Vietnam

If you can get the DLC cheap, do it. But the number of Vietnam servers has been declining over the years. There was like 20 in 2013, now there's like 5 or so.

Stranger of Sword City, but that joke was about another game from the same dev, Ray Gigant (which is supposed to hit Steam in the next few months IIRC). Sword City can be pretty tough.

Should I buy Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale? I can't decide. I haven't played an isometric RPG before, if that helps.

BG 1 and 2 if you want something with a meaty story. Icewind is more combat oriented with a fairly barebones story (you create your party rather than have them be pre-defined NPCs, for instance).

Though honestly I think BG1 can be a bit tedious, BG2 is really the pinnacle of that era.

I liked Rage, but it's hard to imagine you wouldn't be a bit disappointed coming off of Doom which folks are calling one of the best SP campaigns in years. If you do get it, shoot people with shotguns and wingsticks.

What's the name of that site that searches steam and your can live narrow by price and rating?
