I meant we as in the group in this thread. "They are so adorable" is a little condescending, but it is a criticism. He is essentially saying they act like children.

All those supporters and all that positive engagement. No better way to rally them than putting him on the ticket. They sit almost neck and neck on their views, just not so on a trustworthiness scale. Green party has no oxygen.

Sorry, what I meant to say is it could have ended up a lot more messy and a lot worse. Trump sucks and is scary, but luckily very unlikely to be elected.

In terms of policy, Clinton seems like a continuation of the Obama administration while be to the left on some issues as far as I can see.

There are a lot of issues in America that need to be tackled, but at least the county seems to be going forward in a lot of ways.

Bought him? With what? Do you think Clinton cut Sanders a check? If Bernie wouldn't take big money to win a presidential campaign, why would he take money to support Hillary?

People can't possibly see that Sanders might think Hillary could do a pretty good job at the Presidency.

With regards to polling numbers, it'll be hard to quantify with the conventions and VP picks coming up soon. A better way of seeing how this effects this is how much of an increase in donations and volunteers this will bring.

That said, my American friends, please don't get complacent. The UK has proved nothing is a given in politics and every vote needs to be fought for.

Tribal Fanboyism is a much more apt description of BernieOrBust folks. They are the ones so tribal in their "Not Hillary" mentality that they turn on the candidate they claimed to originally support.

It would interesting to go through the Twitter accounts of people posting all the "Betrayal" and "#IWasBerned" stuff and then revisit them come November. I bet a lot of them will still vote Democrat once their temper tantrum is over. Or they'll be posting some dumbass shit about integrity, but I want to be hopeful.

They sure as hell wont vote for Gary Johnson and Jill Stein under scrutiny

At best they just wont vote at all

There's probably a number of them who don't even vote Democratic, or don't vote at all.

Pretty much. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders are now sellouts and traitors to the establishment.

I'm not sure what they've got left to support. Jill Stein?

The BernieOrBust folks are just anti-establishment for the sake of shaking things up in hopes of radical change. It's vague and tribal as fuck.

Sanders and Warren want to be able to govern in 2017. They want to be able to get things done. It's not going to happen in a Trump Presidency. However, Sanders and Warren actually see a way of getting their work done with Hillary in office.

Isn't it actually the opposite? The fact that they abandon the candidate and party to support the ideas themselves (in the green party) shows that they are not tribal fanboys.

I don't agree with them, but I also disagree with calling everyone who prefers Jill Stein over Hillary a deluded sore loser adorable child.

Ya, I just checked the thread, a lot of people trying to recruit angry anti-establishmenters into supporting Drumpf. I don't think /r/S4P has had any real progressives since the anti-Clinton BernieBros took over.

But the hypocrisy of it all is that if this is all about the ideas they support, and if they were diehard Bernie supporters, wouldn't Hillary be the next closest option to his ideas? And even if they go green, why so vitriolic towards Hillary? It's very childish.

I agree Trump doesn't make sense over Hillary, but I can't fault them for supporting Jill Stein. Do you think Hillary is more progressive than Stein??

Nah, just that Clinton has a chance to actually win and appoint SCOTUS seats. So if you are a progressive, a Clinton vote makes more sense to me.
