Strike a pose!

I like how you can quickly hop platforms without landing in Lunar form, it's supposed to be light and floaty looking but a little more visual feedback like a poof of dust would help when actually landing vertically from a big drop.

Gif that relax on a boat! Love these animation, big step up from previous game.

The combat system itself looks a bit strange and floaty, but maybe that's just because I haven't played the first one. I'm happy there will be costumes, though, since I don't care at all for that odd default design.

In the underwater-looking area Kat's gaining her Lunar (light/agile) abilities for the first time and it looks like a tutorial section.

You can tell from the blue/yellow adornments which style she's in.

Seahorse
presence confirmed!

Kat may be the most under appreciated character of all time. She is so great.

Thanks for posting those stream uploads will watch later. And yea I expected way more costumes this time.

5 seconds in and the music already sounds killer.

Can't wait to hear all the new music.

I'm practically begging to give em my money and they're like "no".

Yeah.

Agreed, so glad she's getting this second game.

She really is great. The happy-go-lucky superhero in progress theme she has going on for her makes her so fun to follow and root for. I generally have fun when my characters can have fun too. I hope both she and the game can get a big marketing push from Sony. She can be a great hit to people even outside of Japan and/or the "muh waifu" fandom
which I belong to. I love you Kat. You're real in my dreams!

This game looks so awesome right now, pre-ordering this today absolutely loved the remaster they did for the original game. Though now after this footage I need to go on a media blackout because I've seen enough to sell me on the game at this point.
Also the music damn is it good.

She's the perfect fish out of water, which is great because so are we as a player. So even small things like her asking to take pictures of the locals works so well. So glad this is coming this year.

Have they said if time challenges will be back? I was one of the crazies that enjoyed those and a lunar race challenge would be amazing.

Lunar style jumping looks amazing. Somehow they've managed to make the gravity mechanics more fluid. Even the boost was tweaked a bit to have a superhero flair to it.

I mean damn

I also love just how much more vertical the world seems now with the larger environments. Huge freefalls in this video.

She's the best superhero ever in videogames. Seriously.

I also love how it's not all a brown hell.
Playing GD1 right now, and it's a cool & cute game, but fuck that color palette.

This is still not Ghibli levels of jollyness, but it's a start.

I have played the Remaster with my 7yo niece and while she's looking forward to the sequel, her one complaint about the footage so far is that it's too colorful and she prefers the look of the first game, heh. I told her that she's most likely alone on that. :)

Absolutely gorgeous looking game. It's amazing how much of a difference it makes just by adding colour to the world, in retrospect the original really suffered aesthetically due to that. I need to get back and complete the remastered version before this launches. Well, I have completed it but I need to get gold on all the challenges to platinum it and it would be nice to get t done and dusted before moving onto this.

I'm not really sure why the original made me think this but for me it was by far the most "Sega" game to be made by Sony.

Jheez how did I miss this gameplay footage?!
Gravity Rush's aesthetics have always been so unique and pretty, can't wait to get this day 1.

I really should replay GR1 on Vita to get ready for this.

SIE should make GR Remastered one of the PS Plus games for September, then release a demo for GR2 a few days before the game's release to give it some nice exposure. Will they though? Probably not.

They are doing an absolutely wonderful job with the visuals. This game is up there with R&C and U4 as one of the best looking PS4 games.

I'm really looking forward to play this game. All the stuff I see about it looks better and better.

But, I'm not going to watch more footage. No this time.

I'm in awe of the texture artistry, generous use of POM, mostly crisp shadows and how well decorated the market is in particular.

This surprised me a bit too.

Thanks for the higher quality video. The traversal in this game looks like the most fun since Sunset Overdrive.

There's also this Gigazine interview with K.Toyama and K.Tanaka!

Tanaka's composed over 70 pieces of music for the GR2 soundtrack.

My favourite plump machine translation:
G: Or "GRAVITY DAZE 2" to come out Kitten is to or has become larger in growth from the time of "GRAVITY DAZE"?

Toyama: Because According to the designer in charge of it seems to have a little plump (laughs) PS Vita and PS4 is different screen size, or rather plump only slightly from the previous work to strike a balance in the screen, it was allowed to plump.
