I'm confident that if Konami released MGS 3 that mechanically played like the original, but with the graphics of the Pachinko game, that 99% of the people dismissing them would buy the game day 1.
Sure, but it seems silly to dismiss them when a single game could bring the MGS faithful back.Too bad they won't even do that, then. Making the whole thing moot.

Dropping any of the games/HD remasters on PC or even green-lighting Rising 2 would lead to people caving in.
I might start to forgive them if they make Suikoden 6 for PS4.
This would mean either hiring an outside developer to work on a game, or creating a new internal team to do so.
The latter will never happen, just because of the direction their business is moving. And I think the former is unlikely to happen, too, unless you're OK with an F2P mobile version of it.
This applies to pretty much all of their IPs, BTW.
I"m in a bit of a minority, the only Konami games I was in love with were the Suikoden games.
If they made a Suikoden VI based off of 1/2/5, then I'd buy it, but many of us Suiko fans have long given up hope of seeing a sequel, so I"m not too excited.
Precisely this. Well, except I loved Castlevania too. But Igarashi is making Bloodstained which is all I've ever wanted in a modern Igavania so I'm good there.
There was a Verendus rumor that a Suikoden VI was in the works and that it hadn't been canceled as late as post-E3 2015 so there's a tiny glimmer of hope. Like, so tiny I'm not sure it's not just a shard of my shattered dreams for a proper J-RPG presence on PS4.
Terminating MGSV early and cancelling PT. Those are my franchises from Konami and they've lost me.
I'll be there day one to buy a MGS HD collection on Steam. Or a well done remake. Or a decent MGS 6. Anything as long as it's good and think I could enjoy it. I challenge those who have made clear their intentions to boycott all their future products to actually do so without finding any excuses. I can already see many claiming the classic MGS are all Kojima's babies anyway, so ports and remakes are fair game.Well, sure. They're a business and we are consumers. It's not more complicated than that. Being morally opposed to Konami is basically only meaningful on an individual basis. Problem is they have nothing for any of us to consume.
I don't think they can get my goodwill. Too late for that
For a nice MGS3 (and sure, 2 while they're at it) remake though--they'd get my money
It is an MGSV complete edition and an MGS3 remake. Gamescom is around the corner and you read it first here.

I admire Kojima. I do, you've no idea how much. MGS is my favorite game series. But to boycott a company because they fired one of its employees is silly. I mean, I can't remember but I'm guessing the entire Kojima Productions team was made redundant and that seems worse to me. Yet everyone focuses on a single person. Besides, how many of the companies whose products you regularly consume consistently and publicly engage in far worse practices without you never doing anything about it? I don't know Kojima in person. I'm not his friend nor I'm family. I mean, if I were I'd probably actually have a good reason to hate the company. But I ain't. They fired him and as soon as he was legally able to opened his own studio supported by Sony. Not much of a problem doing so I'd imagine. He's one of the luminaries of the industry, he and his family weren't gonna end up broke and homeless. I imagine some of his former employees struggled a bit more.

I don't know why but this article made me laugh, how is Konami gonna redeem themselves after what happened with Kojima and then making almost all of their franchises Pachinko Machines.
