Someone tweet this info to Eurogamer.

I'm sure they can cross reference it with other forum posts to tell us whether it is legit.

The people need to know the truth.

Is this the first time Nintendo worked with nvidia? Wondering if they're responsible for the leak.. Aren't Nintendo usually very hush?

"Tegra P1" may simply be how he calls the X1 sucessor (P= Pascal?), like Eurogamer calling it "X2". We don't know the final name yet.

EDIT: misread the part about the Pi image, like many other people. He said he posted it to give an idea of how the prototype looks because it looks similar, not that he's showing the NX prototype in the picture.
Unfortunately I don't have a photo but this is the style of how it looks:

That picture of the Raspberry Pi really needs to be taken down. It's stopping people from actually reading the OP.

It might be a good idea if the OP puts a title under that picture of the Rasberry Pi so that people don't get confused.

Nintendo NX prototype looks similar to this picture of a Rasberry Pi

Some language near spanish? The fuck?

Well it might be old latin, old latin is close to spanish. I'm impressed that people still actively use these dead languages though.

Way too many people just posting smirking reactions without really reading the OP

It's a supposed mock-up not the actual NX

Hard to say. It could be legit or it could just be a lucky shot based on existing patents and speculation.

I wouldn't treat it yet as fully legit.

Very true. But this would certainly make me much happier about NX if true. Man Nintendo...just reveal the goddamn thing already.

I dunno man, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between, say, Ukranian and Russian languages, so I don't think the OP is at fault here.

So while everybody talk about the image without ever read the text, what do you think about the "upgreadable cartridges ala SNES FX" ?? Is it even possible?

It could be possible technically but it's complete nonsense of an idea to build a system around, especially in the days of the digital download market.

I don't think he meant inside the game cartridge but that (some) expansion modules looks like cartridges.

Wait, has anyone posted the source thread yet?

Confirms NVIDIA, 2GB RAM, "unified machine" according to Google Translate.

From 2015.

Whoa. Any translation of this?

The cartridges thing would be nice.

But the separate things and prices would be a mess at least for launch, especially when they want to avoid the problems of Wii U.

Hopefully things changed since, and it's just one SKU with everything.

I agree. I hope there's an SKU with everything together. Maybe it's screen and dock choice with default controllers bundled in, now. Or, one console controller bundled. But you have to buy controllers if you want full portability? Seems like a tricky proposition unless everything supports amazing touchscreen controls. Is there a consensus at this point?

300 is like they full package. Buy it without screen and you can have a NX for 100.

I thought the default one is the screen and dock? Or is the default just controllers and dock? My understanding of the article was the former.

So let me get this straight.

$100 - touch screen only portable
$150 - portable with the controllers
$200 - $150 + better screen
$300 - includes the dock and maybe extra hardware?

I believe it's more
$050 - one control
$100 - small screen
$200 - bigger screen
$300 - full package

If the information that eurogamer told, about the power is in the control, maybe you only need 2 controls to have a NX.

I can't imagine the default SKU at launch won't be screen plus dock and maybe plus controllers. I suppose whether the controllers come with it depends on pricing and whether touchscreen support is there in great form for all major games. We know just one modular controller can't come with it because it would be lopsided for play then. I think the default package could be $200-250 for lesser screen plus dock plus controllers, $300ish for better screen plus dock plus controllers. Hard to picture Nintendo selling this piecemeal at all at launch, to avoid confusion. If the marketing is gaming at home and on the go, then it makes no sense to have the default SKU not come with a dock. Two screens makes sense but you can't game with the flagship Zelda title using a touchscreen only I imagine. I don't know if one of the detachable controllers would be enough to play it on the TV so I'm wondering if a Pro-esque controller comes in the box also.

I still think this bit from Eurogamer is just a misunderstanding. I personally don't think the controllers contain the processing power of NX, but I'm not technically savvy when it comes to things like this.

I don't think Eurogamer was saying the controllers themselves contain the NX, but rather than handheld, or the screen and what's behind it, and then the mystery dock does whatever it does. Maybe I misread. But I agree with you, the controllers will be just that.

It's not debunked, per se, it just contains aspects that are highly questionable which mean that it's likely fake.

Which aspects besides price are questionable?

If Nintendo, after releasing a console that almost nobody was able to understand, expects this mess of attachments, expansion slots, different screens, controllers and docks to be understood or even to find people who wants to understand it, I dont know what to tell them.

The problem of this is thst most of that guys sounds reliable as demostrated by EG and so leaks from 3 days ago.

A new chip would be needed, my problem is the whole Raspberry pi pic. I know its not the NX and I know that it was to show what it would be like but the screen seems too small especially for 2 player

lol that has to be the worst fake in the last couple years. also if that write up was remotely true... nintendo would be closing by next year.

Oh god, the Raspberry Pi image is just a reference of the CONCEPT, it doesn't mean that the screen size is the same as the NX.

We literally know nothing so far. There has been no confirmation by nintendo about anything that we have heard over the past few days.

Their early dev kits have all looked very rudimentary like that. You should've seen 3DS dev kits - any dev in here who knows what i'm talking about will corroborate.
Were 3DS kits bare boards? At least the dev kits I know may look rudimentary, but not nude. In fact, Nintendo even puts stickers on their kits that opening them is prohibited.

Yeah, that was the general interpretation of it, but a couple of Gaffers read into the words "brain of the NX...within the controller" a bit too literally, I think, and ran with the idea.

Anyway, I vaguely remember that Xcape guy. I don't even remember his name, though; Xcape might not even be what it really was. I don't remember if it were ever confirmed that he actually knew anything.

I will say that he's probably not too far off in the price range. People expecting $199 are delusional.

MCV said their sources said the same thing about cheap prices, though, and that goes with the rumor last year as well. I'd say that was more likely than not at this point.
