So.....Bloodborne gets revisited by me if there is a Neo patch. So please let there be a Neo patch.

And, does anyone else think that Sony might mitigate the power differential between Neo and Scorpio with a little "secret sauce"? Either another chip or special instruction set for GPU or further specialising the gpu compute funtcions.

Typically 'secret sauce' stuff pisses off developers. Which isn't the way to go.

Consoles get performance that hits above their mark because the simplicity and fixed spec allows the game to be well optimized for the hardware. Well at least hopefully.

That's a fool's errand imo. They don't know what Microsoft is really planning and anything they do Microsoft still has full year to respond/adjust. They should just focus on making it the best hardware they can at a reasonable price point. I still want a spec bump, but because I want the best experience possible on PlayStation.

Slim to none.

I think there is a decent chance we could see Deep Down re-announced. Nothing new though unless the Red Dead rumors are true.

God I hope so. I didn't even think about that for the event until the Kinda Funny guys mentioned it and went with prediction of it being there. Then when you dig and think about it, things like Take Two having their second quarter fiscal 2017 investors call the first week of November....you have to think that something might happen unless they really want to say "Rockstar Games is hard at working on some exciting projects that will be revealed soon" for a third time this year. lol

Hell depending on Red Dead's release Sony could bundle it and spin the news in such a way that Red Dead is exclusively available on Neo first, mainly just due to the Scorpio being released later. lol

Make the led, the ps1 logo colors and add the silver color of the original ps1, plz!
Got home a few minutes ago. Here you go:

Not thick enough, leak said 2 slim stack together.
That's not a Slim. It's a standard PS4 with the bottom reversed and no light bar :p

Look back at previous posts for reason why I didn't model the thicker PS4 Slim Neo variant. Just colored my other mockup for DISSESHOWEDO.

So Sony should be "announcing" this event on their blog some time this week. I'm surprised that they haven't already done it.

I didn't even think about this until now, but I have to agree with you. The 2013 PlayStation Meeting was announced by Sony themselves right around the time invites went out.

Did they make as much of a spectacle about the Meeting for the NGP/Vita, though? I'm thinking maybe they were less low key with 2013's because it was what ushered in the current generation. All eyes were on Sony to see what they had cooking.

Do we think the PS4 NEO will be able to run PS3 games, or would that be expecting too much?

I'm leaning towards the latter. Would I be correct in doing so?

Interesting
have you received the final dev kit yet?

Sorry, I should of said 'see if there are any rear USB ports and draw them'. It would be really nice to have, with the VR box and wireless headphone dongle.

No news on final kit/spec yet :( I am intrigued as anyone to find out if anything has been changed.

Yes.
PS3 CPU was a beast.

PS3 CPU:
The PS3 uses the Cell microprocessor, which is made up of one 3.2 GHz PowerPC-based "Power Processing Element" (PPE).

PlayStation 3's Cell CPU achieves a theoretical maximum of 230.4 GFLOPS

PS4 CPU:
The CPU's base clock speed is said to be 1.6 GHz. That produces a theoretical peak performance of 102.4 GFLOPS.

I thought it was already getting the 4K bluray drive... If not, that sucks... I was hoping to wait and get a Neo instead of an Xbox One S for my UHD Bluray player.

Your acting like anyone knows for sure what NEO's exact specifications are in here. People are just joking around and speculating in this thread.

NEO would need a much stronger CPU than Jaguar to even attempt it.
