Why wouldn't they? Sure Federation Force bombed but they're still responsible for stuff like Punch-Out!! and the Strikers games. One failure turning them off from Nintendo would be weird.

There is a public event tomorrow, and a GS higher-ups event Weds. if I understand correctly.

Personally, I doubt they can control leaks in that room given the previous Neo leak from what I understand to be a similar GS event; as such I expect them to either not share anything new, or to only share news if it's made publicly available by or at that time.

For those following the design side, the recent tweets from @NWPlayer123 note:

"I'd hope the screen takes up most of the base cause it's thick enough to house everything, controller sides/back are the grip space for it."
"Looks like identical side panels, one circle pad and one d-pad x2."

(The same tweeter also posted info about the NX SDK kit here. Some are speculating that HAC stands for Handheld and Console.)

Nintendo wouldn't just drop an NX reveal with absolutely no warning at a GameStop expo.

Before the start of this year I would have said "Nintendo wouldn't go months past e3 without so much as announcing an official name or any games for a console that is going to come out Q1 of 2017"
