Killing Floor launching on PC and PS4 on November 18

Hans major problem was the guns + melee. I
Guns and melee weren't the issue at the same time though.

At first it was the gas grenades that were super lethal and his melee didn't do much at all.
People weren't happy with that and TW nerfed his farts, but buffed his guns. Now the guns were hyper lethal and no-one was happy.

So TW toned down the guns and made his melee do insane damage to compensate. Now his gas and guns barely did anything but his melee was basically the "delete player" move.

Hans had "delete player" move where he could kill a full 150hp player in 2 seconds, even if you had medic on your butt he could still keep chaining his attacks and kill you.

This combined with his non-stop onslaught and crazy hp pool made him a godawful boss. Some people even got used to leaving the game when the boss wave rolled Hans because it wasn't worth the effort.
Damn
Also the way to deal with his healing phase has always been and probably still is (haven't played for a long time) for someone to sacrifice themselves every time he needs to heal. Not worth to waste ammo on his shield when it's so rare to actually destroy it.
That's been fixed. In a six player Hard-Normal you can basically shoot Hans's shield off in like 5 seconds flat. Suicidal and HoE are where you "hold my beer, I'm going to stage him" like normal IIRC.
Yeah, I was about to say, on Hard his shield is fairly breakable. I play Demo and my friend plays a pretty fucking good Sharpshooter so sometimes the shield is gone in a blink.

my friend and I played this today here we are chatting away and having fun and he accidentally takes a body armor from the floor and like the guy for the ENTIRE match just cries how he stole the fucking armor and calls him a child while we're just laughing in our own private chat. Then apparently he just votes to kick him out because he couldn't sleep at night because he stole the armor LMAO

I hope not every community is this #MLG on PC, we just want to have fun.

I have been tempted to get into this game since Killing Floor was my favorite online game, even more than Dota, however I am worried to see how low is the current playerbase, the first game had around 10.000 players everynight meanwhile Killing Floor 2 doesn't even have 2.000, it doesn't appear on Steam' top 100 games played.

Probably because they

1. Launched the game as an Early Access product in April 2015
2. Pissed off a ton of people by putting microtransactions into that Early Access product
3. Have had a handful of terrible updates that were universally rejected by the community

I love the first one, my most played game on Steam, I need to upgrade my PC to play the second one though ;A;

A straight year of shit decision making burned away a lot of good will they will never get back. The game eventually became playable albeit with ugly $kins and a PvP mode but the product was damaged. The console release and full release on PC will unfortunately wash away the mistakes but the developer seems to be on good behavior for now.

Yep a big problem is Tripwire seems dead set on balancing the entire game around HoE and listening to a very small part of the community. So what happens is a lot of their updates make the game unfun/brutally difficult or both. Then act surprised/defeated when majority of the community flip out and go wtf?

im confused, are we seeing PRO 4K footage or PRO 1080P with updated graphics?

and just to be clear its 4K OR 1080P with updated graphics?

Killing Floor 2 destroys the first game in every possible way. I have 400hrs in the game and I'm still not bored. You would think I would be by now, because one thing KF1 does have over 2 is content.

So, is this game worst than the original? I loved that game! Seems like quite a few of you are upset.

Nah I think it's just as good if not even better than the original, absolutely loving it on PC so far. I'll be playing it for a loooooong time.

The gameplay is fine. The support is where Tripwire completely bumbled Early Access. They didn't use the Steam userbase for balance until recently (close to release). They added micotransaction crates before release (before all perks are released and even now two or so of the perks are "post-release content"). They started to work on Red Orchestra 3/Rising Storm 2 before finishing this (even if that's "outsourced").

EARLY™ ACCESS™ DONE™ RIGHTWRONG™

Is that a fair comparison though? KF1 has been out like seven years now and has had multiple discounts into the $5 or less range, plus it has an active modding community. KF2 has only been in early access for a fraction of the time and is still incomplete.

4.) Holding off playing it and getting burnt out on it for now since the big launch update is less than a month away.

That's what me and everyone I know is doing, we plan to marathon it when the launch update hits.

Also, gameplay wise in my opinion Killing Floor 2 is a much more fun game than KF1, and I loved KF1. they improved almost everything. Most upset are due to their handling of updates and such.

I think I actually prefer the gunplay in KF1 - I get the impression that recoil is toned down somewhat in KF2 (but is likely more realistic) with the result that the firearms don't feel quite as hefty. I also miss a lot of the original's maps, like KF-Farm, KF-MountainPass, and KF-WestLondon, but otherwise, I prefer everything in KF2.

If anything, the game has gotten progressively easier, especially Hell on Earth. Calling the current state of the game brutal to the point of unfun is a bit of a laugh, because even at its most challenging (one of the earliest EA builds) it was still very fair in its difficulty (and consistently winnable with co-ordination) save for some wonky Scrake hitboxes that made parrying nearly impossible for Zerker. What's even worse is that they originally stated that they'd make Hell on Earth harder to beat if their player base could overcome it - an initiative they never followed through with - whilst still allowing anyone below perk level 20 to join those sessions.

Tripwire did wrong in neutering the balance of Zeds due to kneejerk whiners on Reddit / Steam Community et al that were quick to jump the gun about Hell on Earth being impossible, never mind wasting their time on a Versus mode that'll be dead within a day. Damn shame, because the core gameplay is a massive improvement over the original.

Any source for this? I can't see anything wherever I search. Not doubting, just it'd make sense when there is some form of a early November beta patch coming to the Steam version for the launch content.

The blog from sony in Spain in the content of the week.I'm in the xbox one so i can't post the link.

Oh yeah, it's still a pretty fun game with some nice graphics, I just think they handled early access really poorly.
