Rockstar are the only devs I give this pass too, and I give it happily.

I will, however, be buying it for Pro or Scorpio pending whichever has the 60fps version and some bells and whistles - then play it in 4K/60fps (my rig hardware will be super good by then no doubt) after the ~1-2 year wait for the PC version

There is no way in hell this comes close to 60 FPS on either console.

Considering how CPU-dependent open world games are it's a pretty sure bet that neither the Pro or the Scorpio will run this above 30fps, even less so considering the mantra for both of these things is 4K gaming.

A person's gender is irrespective to a well written narrative and Rockstar has some of the best writers in the gaming industry. Gender can provide context, but it isn't dependent on a story. Nothing need change in Redemption if you played as Abigail instead of John.

If this is a prequel how would having a female in the gang make sense? Unless Rockstar retcons their own story to shoehorn one in? Unless I missed something... was there a female member of the gang?
Of course this is assuming from the picture this may be story before John is you know...

Honeslty I could give a shit if it even maintains a steady 30 on consoles. I give Rockstar a pass on frame rate, always have, because they're the absolute best at world building/atmosphere/immersiveness. I left out gameplay on purpose as they have rightfully been targeted for lacking intuitiveness in this department, but GTA V shows they learned their mistakes from GTA IV. Fully expect RDR2 to play like butter.

But they didn't write the game about Abigail. It was John's story. Same will be for whoever is the main protagonist in Red Dead 2.

Also understand that these games are time period and will reflect the majority of male outlaws to smaller female ration during that time.

We probably will meet some women outlaws possibly a band of them. But these games were written about Marston's and possibly their siblings female/ or male.

If your seriously outraged then dont support the game.

Still, what would need changed in Redemption's story if the player character was Abigail? Nothing significant that I can think of.

My point is a refutation that "it's the story they wanted to tell". Rockstar made a really shitty excuse about "masculinity" in GTAV, so I don't give them the benefit of the doubt here.

GTAV's multiplayer to this day is making them a ton of money.

7 protagonists. Leads me to believe it'll have co-op or create-a-character.

They did refer to it as Red Dead 2. The series is called Red Dead.

Not really sure where you're getting that from. You know that GTA V is the foundation for GTA online's multiplayer experience and I don't think the single player content is lacking there.

Oh for god's sake just choose your games accordingly if race and gender is such an issue to you. You have a black protagonist for Mafia 3, asian dudes for Sleeping Dogs and Yakuza, a teenage white girl for Life is Strange, an half black half white woman in Remember Me... all of which (bar Mafia which I haven't played yet) I have enjoyed A LOT, despite being a white male. Why is that such an issue I'll NEVER understand

Not to mention Watch Dogs 2 which has a black protagonist. And then we don't really know enough about this game to say anything yet. We have a poster of seven guys. They could be the villains of the story for all we know.
