Here's the cringeworthy 3 minute Wii U trailer from E3 2011

Rewatching it, I thought that 3 minutes would never end.

So, theoretically, they could get a lot across tomorrow during those 3 minutes. As long as they're not awful.

God, this is the worst reveal video ever. When I saw it during E3 I seriously thought it was an add-on to the Wii. They did a fucking terrible job properly communicating that this was am entirely new console. It doesn't help that all the games shown look like games already available on the Wii.

God I hope they learned from this

Yes we're still on for March. Emily Rogers, who should have a lot more credibility now for being the first to say there will be a reveal this week, has stated multiple times that the NX is ahead of schedule for a March release.

The sad news is if emily is right the hybrid console thing confirmed? I just want a home console not some hybrid crap.

Well, you're pretty alone on that one though.
I'd love a hybrid console. Something at least as powerful as the Wii U for gaming on the go, then plug it into the TV when I get home to play this thing in the big screen. Would be really sweet.

The best thing about this is: You don't actually have to worry if you don't like either handhelds or consoles. This thing is both and it can be one or the other. Use it the way you want it. Nobody's gonna judge you for that. Just don't go putting your dick in it.

I'm expecting one scene where a mom says she's busy cooking in the kitchen so the kid goes gets his NX, plops it down on the kitchen table and hands his Mom one of the controllers and they start playing Mario while the casserole is baking. Then the timer goes off and we see another scene....

Brother is watching tv so kid grabs the NX and heads to his bedroom with a friend in tow and they game on the tiny NX screen.

Next scene is both kid and friend each have NX and are gaming at the park.

Then another scene with a smartphone clipped to the top of the NX. Allowing the player to chat and text etc on their phone without putting down their NX.
