I left work like a minute before the tweet, didn't check the Internet all night.

Happy to wake up to this! Only a few minutes until I have something, anything, to expect from the NX.

I don't know why everyone think's we're going to be seeing new games?

It's 3 minutes long.

Quick 30 second intro > 2 minutes 15 seconds on the hardware detailing specs with a revolving camera around it > 15 second outro

Maybe. But if they have a new gimmick, then showing an example of a game using it would make sense. It's not going to be a deep look or anything, but a glimpse of a new game would be nice (and expected IMO).

This is a day that will be remembered guys.
For better or worst, we're witnessing a new video games history chapter unfolding.

OMG I'm so hyped.

Exciting moment since long long time ago. Given the Wii U reveal wasn't that interesting compare to other consoles from them.

I quite like the supposedly new screenshot of the NX dev kit making it's round.

It looks elegant, has a matte design, the dock looks good with the right amount of ports to be useful. I'd be more than okay, if the final product looked the same with added controllers.

Regarding games, at best, I expect to see people playing some kind of Mario game on the device but the game itself wasn't properly shown.

If they show any Mario game that isn't Galaxy 3 or Sunshine 2, I don't want it. I love the NSMB series but put the side-scrolling Mario titles on ice for a while. I''m fucking spent.

The video is 3 minutes and supposed to tease the hardware. Why are people expecting to see the games in this?

A quick demonstration/skit of new hardware would be demonstrated by showing software on the screen. No one is expecting 10-20 games being revealed, but perhaps Zelda and 1 other being shown at most (that is being optimistic). Moreover, there have been tweets suggesting Mario related materials.

There is no way they will have a home console and handheld separate skus releasing together.

How is March and December releasing together?

Remember they share the same library now. You could release a few sku's and they will all play the same games. The hardware will stop to matter as long as you can get the same experience one way or the other. By saving money on games people will be able to afford more hardware revisions that can act as extra controllers or supplemental computing devices.

The teaser will be someone playing the new Mario at home, then it'll pan to the console, and the person will pick it up and play on the go. Then logo. The end.

Guys,

If the rumours of rewarding Wii u owners with loyalty discounts I think this is what will set this new hardware reveal alight!

I also think that My Nintendo will goto into orbit as instead of just being Miitomo it will be all NX software and the loyalty and rewards will start to sell this alone.

I am excited on all this points as well as a unified software division now that will churn out the best Nintendo can possibly make.

New blood also is exciting that they are now embracing and will go from strength to strength.

I'm trying to keep my expectations low. A new Mario, the Zelda port, RDR2 and Final Fantasy 6 remake is all I'm thinking will be there.
