Game Informer: December Cover - Mass Effect Andromeda (not out yet, leaked)

I like that jacket. Looks very neon 80's.

That actually makes sense, I hadn't thought about it like that.

Watching RPG focus groups for the first level of a game is depressing. To be fair, watching any focus group makes you realize how predictable we really are. You see the same behaviors over and over again and hear the same comments ad nauseum (both positive and negative).

I'd love to hear more about your experiences with these focus groups.

Kinda wish Alexander Freed was on this. He did the best spy story in videogames with Old Republic's Imperial Agent and I feel he could add a lot of nuance to more neutral/intrigue-based content.

Wait, what?

They're not saying they will (they're probably not planning to), just that they would be open to it if they felt they needed to. It's to dissuade any sentiment that they're rushing it out, which is ridiculous as it's been in development for five years.

Watch our Andromedian(?) squadmate being a Javik 2.0 and calling us all "primitives" while laughing in our backs with his superiority complex.

I don't know about that, just thought it was weird for someone to compare the party members in ME3 to Jersey Shore.

You just made me remember how they gave Ashley's uniform high heels for Mass Effect 3. As if the redone nose, lipstick and breast implants weren't enough.

Yeah. Easily my least favorite change along with how weird it was to see Liara go through a complete personality change.

Why is the other guy dressed in full armour but the asari has her belly button all flapping out?

Customized costumes. To use Dragon Age Inquisition as an example, what Cassandra wears is not what Iron Bull wears which is not what Varric wears who doesn't wear what Blackwall wears.

Characters tend to wear more what the designers want to style them as.

welcome to female character design in video games

Yes. I am familiar with how prevalent this is. But,

A) I didn't remember it being this bad in previous ME games for FemShep (nostalgia googles I guess)
B) I would have expected Bioware to do better after all their talk about FemShep/Ryder and representation.

...not sure what more you want. She's just twisting a bit in the mag cover. She looks perfectly normal here (CG but representative of the model overall):

Oh the Hype. Favourite franchise of the last decade coming back!

I know I'll like this no matter what they make from it.

The mag scan's body ratio just looks off though man. That's what I commented on.

The waist in it looks thinner than this new one you posted after.
