I don't get why time needs to rewind for Hayato after someone blows up. Like, the bomb protected Kira by blowing Rohan up. Why not just leave that timeline active?

Not buying it at all to be honest. This is another one of those things like Mannish Baby being superintelligent. It won't have any in story explanation or justification. It is just there for the story to be interesting.

There are people in this world who actually haven't read the manga. My post was geared more towards speculating and discussing with those people.
"Just wait for next week" is boring.
Literally what could anyone do with the information that Rohan died? I guess they try to investigate Hayato and that house too since they knew Rohan was going to do that. But once they do that BTD also activates and kills them.
As someone who has read the manga, you're essentially right. If Bites the Dust didn't involve time-rewinding it would be a much better power for Kira. But if stand users could design their stands then they wouldn't often have the esoteric weaknesses that make the fights interesting.
Making it obvious who the killer is, which is the exact opposite of what Kira wants and what the arrow has granted him.

My god, THAT WAS AWESOME! I can't believe we're finally seeing Another One Bites The Dust animated. So good. I also love the flourishes and transitions they've done this episode. They were as good as the ones from earlier in the series.
My personal favourite was Hayato looking out the window, then turning to look at his mother in the kitchen. I also liked Yoshihiro appearing in thin air before Kira grabbed the picture. When BTD first activated within Kira after the arrow pierced him was also cool looking. The slow fade to white before Rohan opens his car door was stylish and terrific.
By the looks of it, they also finally updated the ED. You can see Yuya and his girls on the main road with Toshikazu and Yukako, with Kinoto beside him back against the tree; Ken Oyanagi (RPS Kid) by the Angelo stone, Mikitaka upside-down on the streetlight, Kanedaichi, and Miyamoto on the checkerboard path to Koichi's house.
Also, Kira finally kissed Shinobu. That has got to be one of the weirdest relationships I somehow find myself supporting.

Great episode. Probably their slowest pace so far (only like 4 chapters).
Minor thing they cut out: When Kira's dad tells him he has to leave Morioh, we see that Kira has chewed the symbol for 'VICTORY' on his fingernails.
