Nintendo Switch |DT2| No excellent soul is exempt from a mixture of madness

Which of these definitely """real""" leaks are you most hyped for?

I don't believe SSB is a new game. SSB4 has a ton of content and it's quite recent, I believe they're absolutely going to port it.

Especially since the Wii U/3DS versions compiled will be a Smash package larger than likely any subsequent sequel could manage to be.

Just bring back Ice Climbers, add Inklings, and give all the DLC characters proper content to make it feel like they're not tacked on. That would last me, basically, forever.

Super Mario Maker 2 would be extremely weird. Not only would it be weird to even be a sequel because it makes the most sene of all the games getting a port as they can easily port it and then add further content updates over its life but we already have two new Mario games with the new 3D Mario game and RabbidsxMario RPG this year.

Is that feeling called hope??

Why would I hope it performs terribly? I'm buying a Switch. Have you seen how ugly Skyrim is on the Xbox One and it barely maintains 30fps. Now imagine that on a system not even half as powerful, lol.

Yeah the leak sounds pretty false, mainly because I can't see ATVI putting any more money into Skylanders toys sitting on shelves. If anything they will announce a CoD port and claim its the first true portable CoD experience while hoping nobody remembers Declassified for the Vita.

The only way skylanders is possible is if development started before sitch was delayed and then acti thought fuck it might as well finish it off to have something for launch

Nintendo to close down Naughty Dog

Druckmann to stage a coup at Nintendo SPD. Future Mario games explore the banalities of everyday life and enduring love between an out of work plumber and an exiled princess. Hold forward and mash X to triple jump. Pretend to fight actually unwinnable battles against Bowser. Enjoy intellectual and deliberate pacing.

Yep. Notice that it is a trend with legacy series? Have any new series done it? I can't think of any.

Nintendo didn't start numbering MK titles until its seventh entry. It's not like it's something they've been doing since 1996.

Who knows if Splatoon's sequel will have a "2" in its title but you're not making a compelling argument to me that it absolutely will not.

I haven't got time to go through and check everything on that dumb list, but I have concluded since those are totally wrong that the rest must also be made up. And I never said "All of this is completely false". Don't misquote me.

I'm sorry, what.

What is your definition of "completely fake"?

It's not easy to port though.

Remember when Emily said Nintendo was having problems with bringing Mario Maker to the Switch?

Nah it's just gonna be a dry presentation focusing on like 3 launch games.

Nintendo ain't going big with this one at all. Not at all.

People in this thread are generally really underestimating this presentation.

I mean, I'm sure they're not going to show versions of every PS4/XB1 game, but that big list of partners presumably all have games coming out. And Nintendo has stuff that isn't Mario and isn't a Wii U port and they have to prove this thing is going to get games support.

We might get some of that in a media dump after the presentation, but there's going to be plenty of games for this thing (before we even get to indie stuff).

Oh yeah I know. That they've never had subtitles was my point.

I'm not trying to convince you, I just think it sheds doubt.

Maybe it is Xenoblade X2, Monolith made a B team (Project X zone team?) to work with it and their A team is doing a new game.

My word this thread is motoring along,it's all getting rather exciting...Or frustrating, depending on your hype-o-meter

It's frustrating when you leave for 30 minutes and assume all the new pages are a result of new information but... no. We're all just freaking out.

I really hope Amazon puts up preorders because I'm with clients tomorrow and won't have a chance to go to an irl store until lunch :/

Wait. Pikmin. Pikmin is the sequel.

I disagree because that only leaves Smash, unless he's saying XCX isn't getting ported and it's getting a sequel, which we already know.
Rayman or something else that was rumored to be a port.

No...one of the previously rumored Wii U ports for Switch is not a port. Mario Kart is a port though.
Nowhere did she say it was one of her previously rumored Wii U ports that was not a port. One of the, not my.

We have heard jackshit that something would run or does run terribly due to the hardware specs.

Not one word. Running with less details and whatever, but not terribly. This isn't a PS3.

But when tf would a new Smash Bros be ready? I thought the last one took forever and really wore Sakurai out?

It could still be an enhanced port of Smash 4 with a lot of new content and rebranded as a sequel. Sakurai did consider Smash 3DS and Wii U two separate entries so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

What was the reason? The trouble they would have with porting SMM they would have had anyway with a sequel as well.

I can see an issue with controls. Both the Wii U and the 3DS had touch screens. The NS supposedly does, too, but not when docked. So that may be causing them problems.

Ubisoft won't work on so many exclusives and times exclusives for Switch, come on. They already have Rabbids & Mario and B&E 2. No way they have also Rayman Legends sequel done by ... the same people who work on B&E2.

It's about as powerful as a PS3 and...Bethesda.

I would love if he meant it's Xenoblade Chronicles X "2"

I guess Takahashi never said "we're making the next Xenoblade game" so XCX would count.

Yes but that has to be reworked for a supposed sequel anyway. They will not restart the game from scratch and if they will it for sure won't be even close to ready yet.
