My order wasn't cancelled...So did Amazon cancel every order and was it confirmed to be a stolen shipment?
I feel for Amazon, no doubt Nintendo has cancelled their allocation in order to create some artifical demand, who benefits nobody except Nintendo and Scalpers. Nintendos loyalty to scalpers remains impressive.
there's no reason to further restrict the availability of an already 'limited edition'.
There is no reason whatsover for Nintendo to do this. So please stop those weird, utterly nonsensical, conspiracy theories.
Pretty sure he knows and is just having a laugh
Amazon just canceled my orders of the Red and Blue Joy Con Straps. Funny thing is that I received $5 for each when the straps are just $7.99.
If they cancel my actual console order I will burn down a warehouse
My order wasn't cancelled...Yet
Mine is fully paid for by gift card, I wonder if that's a factor.

Nope, mine was fully paid for by gift card and it got cancelled.
LUL what is it with Nintendo and stolen shipments 😱So did Amazon cancel every order and was it confirmed to be a stolen shipment?
This is a funny thread. Made my morning. I don't see the people thinking that a 10$ ticket is a "slap in the face" getting informed and fighting for the people that work for Amazon with ridiculous wages and the worst working conditions. So either care about that, or just shut up when it comes to be angry about a 100/150$ merchandising edition that you can easily buy. These people are the kind to shout at an online Customer service, even knowing that these people can't take any décisions and won't change the disturbance in your bourgeois life. Grow up with your rich problems and stop losing time on an online gaming forum because you wanted 50$ and not 10$.

It's funny thinking that by whining in forums and spamming amazon communications it's gonna do a difference when they obviously keep preordering from Amazon (at least for stuff they cant find elsewhere). If they really want to make a difference they should check if there's any legal action they can take or what consumer right do they have and also stop using amazon.Welcome to the hyperbole paradise, my friend.
It sucks for those that had their order cancelled, but the reactions are funny, indeed.
Doesn't explain why pre-orders seem to be being cancelled at random though, without any regard to when people pre-ordered it. That much is on Amazon at least for not being organized.Sucks this is happening, but isn't the much more likely scenario here is that Nintendo is at fault? Amazon has done this drill hundreds of thousands of times and Nintendo has a shitty track record with supply-and-demand.

That sucks. I sold mine to a GAFer, so if it gets cancelled I'll have to refund him out of pocket and will have gift card balance in my account that I have no use for :/

Yup, a true tragedy
My condolences

Hope its over. First thing I checked was an Amazon email, safe so far.Are people still getting canceled or is it over?
The game is out in less than 7 days and 6 hours, so you'd think preload would have started already...
You blame Amazon but what if
Nintendo: You can have 25,000 copies.
Amazon: Takes 25,000 preorders.
Nintendo: JK, you can have 5k.
Isn't that more likely?

Was the last major preload release on Wii U Paper Mario? Because for that one there was an issue where people could start playing early (it was amazing) so perhaps they're skipping preload this time to avoid that possibly happening again. IIRC people said that would've been an easy fix on Nintendo's end though so I dunno, just idle speculation.
Seems like there should be a lawsuit in here somewhere, to protect consumers.
A person may have been able to get a limited good if they had purchased elsewhere. It's especially sad for those who preordered as soon as they could.

Artificial demand for a one run only limited product? It doesn't work that way. Once this is gone its gone. With artificial demand for a console, for example, the idea is to sell more consoles later on. There will be no more Master Editions. It actually benefits no one as Nintendo would make more money if this thing was available at the same allotment as other CE's from pretty much anyone else.
Lawsuit for what? There was no contract. All you have done is queue yourself in line for the product. The retailer does not have the item on hand. They issued a refund and have not run afoul of the FTC mail order rule.
