Can't wait to see Colin bring his nonsense the the snowflake media haven that is Fox News or Fox Business channel. Colin is gearing to be amongst the most repulsive tv personalities on tv. He must have a heck of an agent after that buy out from Kinda Funny.

This is why Colin's stances on diversity in games is so troubling, honestly far more so than his misguided anti-womens rights tweet.
From what I can recall in the latest PSILOVEU (might not be the latest for everyone, but the last one I've listened to) podcast his stance is pretty much just let them be "XYZ" (as gay, coloured, trans etc) without having to overtly justify it.

See nothing wrong with that.

Which is pretty much the stance of this thread anyway.

Sorry if this has already been answered but does Collin going on rogan pretty much confirm he got made to resign for the peace and quite joke? I mean I can't see why else joe would want to interview him especially not with drew now on the circuit...

All it confirms is that his actions over the last week or so have drawn a lot of attention, it doesn't confirm or refute anything about the nature of his split from Kinda Funny.

Why does a guy who doesn't like the public or lots of attention leave his own show to be a guest on a more popular show? lol So weird.
As someone with anxiety, you're never going to get better if you keep hiding, sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone...See it's no big deal, and try to build on top of that.
I need to know if Colin dislikes weed, because there'll hopefully be a chance that Rogan will flip his shit on that podcast.
Was watching a random morning episode yesterday and someone asked if they drink and smoke while playing games and Colin kept repeating "idk anything about buds" and kept smirking, dude definitely blazes, if I had to deal with Twitter people I would he under the influence 24/7

Edit: if I had to use Twitter in general, speaking to the world in 150 characters is nonsense.

After hearing the new jre it seems joe is interested due to peaceandquietgate not nescesarly that Collin got fired or pressured into resigning.

Yeah I agree. Sometimes I see these 5 part twitter posts of someone ranting about whatever, and I'm like, man...just make a YouTube video!

lol, step 1 to actually getting Rogan angry rather than sitting around passively nodding away with everyone. Mention weed, while criticising it being legal. Weeeeeeee, Rogan takes off.

More than likely, that will be the majority of the conversation. Rogan isn't alt-right, but he also has zero sympathy / tolerance for what he perceives as "SJW's". That's why I expect this particular interview will angry quite a few people on GAF, given Rogan and Colin are on the same page for sure when it comes to that. That's going to be their meeting / agreeing point and the conversation will flesh out from there.

I'm really looking forward to it though. Rogan even though he plays softball, and often is a chameleon and agrees with most of what his guests say in order to make them comfortable / have good conversation, can really bring out a lot in people on the podcast and you can learn a ton. It'll really be interesting to see Colin in that setting.

A lot of the time with Rogan you can accept he is lambasting the worst of the worst. As yeah, sometimes people really do lose their shit and potentially cause damage themselves to others, or lecturers, or whoever, over something that would even make the tumblr community cringe. So while he can be a bit of an idiot, more often than not it just comes across like grandads hot take on them teenagers. Nowhere near as vitriolic and damaging as some of the mouth pieces online who target, abuse and chase off.

He's unchained to talk whatever bs he wants without affecting his bottom line.. well he already harmed the KF brand and took a good portion of the audience with him.
There wouldn't even be a KF without him, but I'm sure everyone appreciates your fake concern for them. Clearly if he wanted to really hurt them, he would have stayed longer with them instead of tapping out.

Unfortunately I can see this being the case for 6 months - 1 year. People committed to dumb trivial shit tend to have a lot of time on their hands.

They'll eventually get bored and go back to shitposting on /v/ , /pol/, kotakuinAction and Breitbart/Blaze once colin joins.

Hahaha exactly, just make a video and post it, text is such a horrible way of expressing anything. Reading people's tweets or messages you can't tell if they are popping a blood vessel or completely bored. A video is a much better form of communication.

Matter fact if you're not willing to shoot s video of you saying what you just wrote it shouldn't be typed.

I just went and had a look at the "peace and quiet" tweet and replies again. I didn't see much "outrage" from people who didn't like it. If anything, people against it were mostly like "this is a lazy joke, also a bad one. why troll?"

I guess I just don't see much there for Colin to feel righteous over. But whatever. I encourage everyone to read the replies for themselves.

It blows my mind that someone this unremarkable and dull, with opinions so vapid, and with such a thin and marginal "career," could even have a following in the first place. The Internet's a weird place.

I am kind of pissed about this but not for any of the reasons mentioned in the previous 80+ pages (not that I read them).

I had a half typed email to send into the Games Cast to call out Colin on his most egregious statements and now I wont get the chance.

In January on one of the KF podcasts he said something to the effect of "Fester's Quest gets a lot of shit but I can make arguments that its a good game". I almost crashed my car and died with my mouth agape when I heard that. Then the final straw while working on my Launchbox Emulation HTPC I was pruning an NES Rom collection using IGN's top 100 NES games article and found this:

http://ca.ign.com/lists/top-100-nes-games/45

This is trolling on a whole new level. Having a lame opinion about a terrible game is one thing but putting it in a top 100 list especially as high as 45th is ridiculous.

Colin if you are reading this you arrogant bastard I demand a lets play. You need to answer for your crimes and I can think of no better punishment then watching you pretend to enjoy this turd on a stream.

He takes even the slightest criticism as a viscous personal attack, but isn't clever enough to actually debate those with opposing views, so instead he just cries out to his growing army of alt-right trolls when he feels threatened.

If you're a person under 40 willing to stick it to PC culture and those goddamn liberals, you'll have a following. It's not hard to pull off these days. Just say some shitty stuff that gets attention, double down, then blame PC culture for the negativity and watch the Pepes roll into your Twitter feed.

but getting offended because people didn't think your joke was funny and calling them all humorless sacks of shit is totally reasonable, right?

To be fair, I consider people to be humorless sacks of shit when they don't find any of my rubbish jokes as hilarious as I do. Which is depressingly often. Bastards.

This is bound to wind some up, but CM probably plays his part in Dave creating this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvXtuxFBkCk

Try to watch it all before replying to the video title. It covers a lot of the hating/trolling.

"Beyond the outrage machine, there is another nefarious layer here which is a whole group of people who get off on the outrage itself. This is the group of people who react to anything and everything so to get clicks and ultimately money from our constant state of outrage."

Hmm.

Well, IBTimes did do that with Colin. What's something that is a serious issue right now that no one likes to hear about.... racism! Well, we'll slap that in our article title and it'll catch the eyes of people going around online wanting to hate/put down anyone who is racist.

Except, let's not report honestly about Colin, lets just say he's a racist and people will believe it (or telling racist jokes, but lets face it that itself has everyone calling you a racist these days)... because largely speaking people do just believe headlines and can't be bothered exploring any further to find out whether or not something is true. Thankfully, on the likes of GAF, where even Colin's haters at least know a bit about him, that shoddy article title was shot down.

Finally after some pressure they changed the headline ~ http://www.ibtimes.com/kinda-funnys...-targeting-women-joke-insists-its-his-2507600 Some damage was already done though, and the cycle of CM fans being outraged at outrage continued as well. The media know what they are doing, they were going after the clicks from CM fans as well. Some of them are actually playing EVERYONE very well right now. They get the clicks from the people with big hearts wanting to go around getting justice for every little thing, and also the clicks from those outraged at misreporting. Then these two camps often end up fighting each other.

I could share more thoughts but I'm going out just now.

I'd hardly say he "took a good portion of the audience with him" - Kinda Funny's Patreons are currently down about $4000 in total (roughly $2000 each) and still sitting in a pretty healthy spot.

I don't think you can count one website posting an incorrect article as some sort of media conspiracy when there are 10 who reported on it correctly.

This is what Colin does. 99 people can post constructive criticism, and 1 could post something trolly, and he just focuses on the troll instead of the 99 good points.

Having an observation on why sites do it isn't stating it's a conspiracy. We live in a clickbait utopia right now, where there is so much copy/pasting and trying to get the attention of eyes in a sea of 3,000 articles covering the same thing. Then you have things like Twitter/FB/YT circumventing the need for anyone to even go onto a website. It's stressful times being a blog or website, but that is no reason to sell yourselves out.

What's most disturbing about this thread is how venomous people are towards people who actually like and support Colin. Like it's outrageously disgusting to have a different opinion than you.

Not sure about venomous, but I guess people have a problem with people being okay with the bullying behavior that Moriarty is known for and the open disdain he has for minority issues pertaining to race, gender, and class.

"People should be more respectful of those supporting hostile sexism in the industry." This post is one hair from a so much for the tolerant left Captain America punch pic.

lol it's funny to see Colin's Persecution complex extend to his fans. Nobody is burning you guys at the stake. If you want to defend him, be prepared to have your arguments challenged.

If he actually exhibited any of the things you mentioned, I'd be right there with you with my pitchfork. But I've followed him for years and none of that is accurate IMO.

As a liberal he often times sounds like a republican to me. Beyond the disdain I have for republican politics, I don't think he is a bad guy. On the contrary, I think he is a pretty good dude.
