Is there a chip that gives bayonetta witch time on dodge? I'm pretty far in but haven't found any chips that might give it to me. I remember I recovered
some androids
and it gave it to me for a little bit but I always miss the chip names.

Yeah, it's called Overclock.

Man if the game was just parts A and B, or even just part A, I'd be satisfied.

Then part C hit.

Damn.

Did you check on top of the building? You have to scale the big one and cross the bridge.

Yeah. I also checked on top of the Goliath and over and under the bridge. They're not hidden or anything, right? When you get there, they should appear in plain sight?

Speaking of quest weirdness: I tried the quest where you're supposed to find three different spots in the world. Found the spot in the forest and amusement park, wasn't really hard. They were marked on the map as well.

The oasis however isn't marked and when I go there, nothing happens. It's the one to the northwest of the desert, right? With it's own save spot and everything. Or is there another one?

So, I experimented a bit and noticed that +8 chips with Diamonds are not the best.
Don't bother with them seriously. Let's take Drop Rate Up for example.
It caps at 90% and since you want to use other chips aswell, you would want the lowest costs possible.
So take a look at this:
---------------------------------

+8 Minimum Cost [21] Drop Rate 90%

---------------------------------

+7 Minimum Cost [17] Drop Rate 80%
+0 Minimum Cost [4] Drop Rate 10%
= +7 & +0 Minimum Cost [21] Drop Rate 90%
---------------------------------

+6 Minimum Cost [14] Drop Rate 70%
+1 Minimum Cost [5] Drop Rate 20%
=+6 & +1 Minimum Cost [19] Drop Rate 90%
---------------------------------

+5 Minimum Cost [11] Drop Rate 60%
+2 Minimum Cost [6] Drop Rate 30%
=+5 & +2 Minimum Cost [17] Drop Rate 90%
---------------------------------

+4 Minimum Cost [9] Drop Rate 50%
+3 Minimum Cost [7] Drop Rate 40%
=+4 & +3 Minimum Cost [16] Drop Rate 90%
---------------------------------

As you can see +4 & +3 chips with diamonds is the best setup you can achieve, as you get 90% at the cost of 16,
where any other setup will get you above 16.

It's almost for every chip that way. I think there are a few exceptions.

I thought he sells meteorite shards/pieces?

I have one more trophy left and it's the max out all weapons.

That's correct: he sells shards, not full meteorites.

Also, I'm like 10 mats away from being able to level 4 9 different weapons at the same time.

Time to get serious about farming those out.

He will actually sell meteories as well. Eventually.

There is a properly clean oasis elsewhere in the desert. It is partially hidden by the sandstorm as you need to approach it from a quite specific angle to reach it.

how do i get this racing flying robot to stop so I can chat with it?? Can't shoot it down, can't hack it, can't interact with it without falling off the goddamn building

Just gotta stand on the edge and talk to it when it gets close. Might have to try a few times.

I feel like I'm pressed up right against it's bumper and it just drives on by.

Doesn't help with no dead zone so I keep walking of the ledge. Might disconnect my controller just to talk to this asshole

I found this weird too - if anything, stand a little further back from the ledge. There's quite a few times I've found that being closer to an NPC makes it harder to get the 'O' to come up - I managed to get the flying robot's attention eventually.

Like when I spent ages climbing up and down
Engels
to try and land on his head to talk to him when I actually needed to be further way and on the ground...d'oh.

Got the game delivered a day in advance. Can't play until tonight. I'm so sad. Ah well at least I'll be able to play while the update downloads.

Do all the endings require you to do shitty sidequests like NieR ?

No, only few chips have a better combination with lower tiers than an +8 outright.

I think it's just standard combo with bracers and large sword.

ah. a combo I never bothered to try. lol

edit: also, is there a way to get to the quest that sits on the roof of one of the city ruins buildings closest to the desert opening? It appears to be too high to get to by any conventional means. Do the means open up in later playthroughs or something?

i don't think any of the endings of nier required you to do side quests

you needed all weapons for endings c and d in the first game, and i guess side quests were required for a few of them

i don't think this is the case for this game though. from what i've heard nothing like that is required for the main endings (correct me if i'm wrong

i think one of the extra/joke endings requires all weapons to be maxed tho

still, the vast majority of sidequests in nier weren't as bad as their reputation, and they're much improved for this game, so

you can get there by jumping gliding from a water cistern on the roof to the east(?) i think

you may be better off holding off on this particular side quest for awhile though; it gets pretty rough

Oh man, I feel real dumb right now. I have over 100 hours of play time and I'm JUST now figuring out that delaying your combo string after the first button press will give you a completely different combo.

you are right on how to start it, but I just want to add that its fine to start it relatively early, as the quest progresses it turns into different quests entirely. So you dont have to worry about progression

That is very likely Father Servo and you can finish that quest line in route A if you're so inclined and there are no secret, ultra-special tricks to getting there.

The move that you're likely missing to get the air-time and length you need is the swing-from-the-pod move you get by pressing jump and fire at the same time. You can reach the rooftop from either building next to it. Just start from the highest spot near the edge facing the way you want to go.

Clear

CliffyB's Cock Holster
Grats! That time fills me with hope.

LOL I'm at nearly double that and still not done. I'll admit I've not been particularly efficient at doing this, but still...

That said, main thing holding me back is being only 92% enemy intel complete, and I'm pretty sure I know what I'm missing,

You don't even need to do that. Just jump off from a sprint and air dash forward once and glide a bit. It should be enough to get you to vault over the ledge, at least. Your technique is useful for a couple of hard to reach chests though.

Decided to get this instead of ME:A and sounds like its right up my alley from the impressions and reviews. Here's hoping it doesn't disappoint.

I haven't been able to put a lot of time into it yet but if there's a decent amount of weapons there should be a good amount of combinations, between light/heavy and the upgrades for each I mean.

Any specific chapter or once you finish his quest and buy all his stuff up?

Speaking of hats

I only wear
Emil's Head
now.

Edit: What about Gold Ore? I think it's a rare pick up in the deep caves on the way to a certain someone's hideout.

CAN be found all over the place with low chances, but once you clear route C the shop keeper in the Amusement Park sells them.

Left it last night end of route B on a quick replay. The upcoming bit with early C, not entirely looking forward to the major spoiler
Death of a Waifu
. Being such a well-realized sequence makes it hit harder.

Oh wow, what the hell? I didn't think we'd actually go into some
alien ship?!
That was super cool! What I don't get is that if
these guys (Adam and Eve) have been around since forever, why did we just see them just getting born in that desert boss fight? Was there some huge time skip between my access point visits? o_O

I'm sure stuff will get answered eventually, but this has definitely got me thinking!
Oh and fast travel unlocked! Time to finish off all the sidequests!

You can buy all his stuff in one go as soon as you encounter him, and he will start selling
meteorites
and
Alien Mask
right then.

The 'we' they refer to is to the machine collective itself.

Hi everybody,

This has probably been asked 100 times in this thread but I've been hearing about these multiple endings and multiple playthroughs.

Is this like 999 where you pretty much replayed the game multiple times and just picked different options at various junction points whilst listening to the same conversations over and over with a few responses changed here and there?
