How are people surviving the initial onslaught? You can't move an axe user in range of the blue lance or the red cavalry unit will wipe you. You can't put a red sword to survive the blue lance since it'll drag you back and Michalis' will attack.

I think I need to either level Narcian or Beruka to survive the initial Michalis' attack. I'm hurting here cause my best Axe user is Bartre at level 30 and then Beruka/Raven are next at level 22.

I have an Abel and Sophia near level 40 so I could run that strategy with Olivia but there's gotta be another way to survive that initial beating.
I think a lot of strategies are leading with Nino and Olivia to land an early hit, then have Olivia dance Nino to let her escape, pulling Olivia back to safety in the process.

Another strategy is to put Lancebreaker on any flying green to replace Narcian.

Narcian can pull the blue flier (+ Michaelis). If a flier of your own wasn't an option you can send a bulky axe user along the left side like Fred who'll eat the lance users damage and tank Michaelis.

Initiating on the mountain with a flier is the safest bet since Michaelis won't be able to hit anything the first turn.

For me, a level 40 4* Frederick can survives the initial hits when I have him go on the right.

Never thought I'd see the day my Julia would take a shot from a Hector and live to tell the tale. I was rushing and forgot had counter.

Just dealt with Lunatic Michalis taking 0 damage with this team:

4* Subaki
4* Lilina
4* Olivia
3* Narcian

Pulled the nearby lance with Narcian who one-rounded it as he does all lances. Subaki, surprisingly was able to one round BOTH reds, so the drag back on the flying one didn't pull him into Michalis range. Maybe only because mine's +atk. Lilina with a dance dealt with Michalis, leaving only the lance who did 0 damage to Narcian. Flawless victory!

Beat Michalis with Olivia/Hector/Klein/Effie. Hector guarded the rear, Effie in the front on the right side, Klein sniping everyone while Olivia danced for him.

I took the initial blue flier hit with level 35 4* Narcian and he killed the flier so there was no Drag Back lol

My normal level 40 Camilla didn't survive. She tanked the hit from the lancer, but then got dragged back and wrecked by Michaelis.
I speed buffed my Camilla so she didn't get doubled by Michaelis, but she wasn't able to reposition herself to avoid dying next turn so I couldn't win using her. It felt like a dead end either way lol.

My Camilla survived when I tried using her but she couldnt kill the blue lancer, was dragged by him and survived a Michaelis hit but she couldnt escape, Narcian is the best option because of emerald axe and lancebreaker

Was able to pull the blue lancer with Minerva and then with Sanaki standing nearby, Hone Attack gave her enough damage to kill it without drag back. That seemed to be my biggest stumbling block in early attempts.

I then backed off and had Sanaki and Minerva take out Michalis as he closed in. Takumi take out the red flier, and Effie just wait for the red cavalry. Blue lance infantry went down to Minerva.

First time I didn't actually use Olivia in one of these maps lol

I launched Ninian to the upper right corner with the sword Calvary with Effie's smite ability. Let her get attacked and draw the attention of the lance and sword fliers. Then on my phase she escape routes out of there and then Robin, Effie, and Roy can pick apart the scattered enemy units.

Escape route is awesome.

Ugh. I need help. I feel like one of my party members is useless. Tharja can take out Michalis in one turn but then she's wrecked by the rest. I have a 5* Azura and a 4* Olivia but even using both, one of them gets stuck in the danger zone. My 5* Camilla can't get up far enough to take hits or block the path

what other units do you have to work with? They don't need to be 5*.

Bah, got the draw back lancer guy down to 4 hp with a Nino-Ephriam-Olivia-Lucina party, but I need that guy dead so that Ephriam can cover for Olivia. Right now the sword peg knight is killing Olivia a few turns in.

I need to level up Nino.

This is exactly what I did except my Subaki is only 3*. Gem weapons plus solid DEF plus Breaker/Quick Riposte are amazing.

They've been giving orbs at a decent pace recently. Not getting much out of them though (another 3* Laslow @?$!). Still nice as a complementary to the main games, such as finally getting a Beruka to coincide with my latest playthrough of Conquest, with avatar married to Beruka.

Can Abel one shot the upper right sword Calvary? If so you could launch him up there and get things going. Problem is you are going to have to get him support fast because he will then draw not fliers to his position. One of those is also a sword so maybe he can take that out too?
I just got him so I'll have to level him up. I'll give it a try since all my top characters can't do it just yet.

Today I burned 179 orbs exclusively on reds.

I wanted Eliwood 5*.

I got an Eliwood 5* on my very last pull.

It is -atk +res.

I weep.

Has anyone taken michalis to 5*? is he good?

I want to know this is as well, I'm thinking about making him 5*. Trying to decide who I should upgrade, I've already got a 5* Takumi, Lucina, Nino, Azura, MRobin, Ephraim and Julia.

For me, it's between Effie, Michalis, Kagero and Nowi for the upgrade. I'm leaning toward Kagero or Michalis.

Always been a fan of Eliwood, finally getting him as a 5* seemed like a thing to do, since I'd try to run him in Horse Emblem.

But I'm not sure it was 179 orbs-worthy anymore. But then I couldn't stop.

Alas... I'd been saving for A WHILE, lol.

Honestly, if there's a particular character you really want to make useful and isn't only a 5* option, you're better off hoping they come as a 3* or 4* given the current SP grind requirements.

You'll have a faster rate of getting 2k/20k feathers while you level them up a few times through 1-30/40, and you'll have so much abundant SP that you will be able to given them pretty much a completely new skill set and still have SP to spare.

Like, I want to pull Roy... some day... and I'd rather he come out a 4* than a 5* because my plan for him requires a lot of skill reworking.

Did the Nino + Olivia dance/draw back thing and it went super well! WIsh I had Narcian or correspondent skillset on a flier but I don't, so I went Nino + Olivia.

My full team was Eirika, Linde, Nino, Olivia.

Yup, I just got it with that tactic too. Nino + Olivia + Ephriam + Lucina.

Nino initiated, Lucina hung around the flank to duel Michaelis, and Ephriam tanked the right side until it became a safe corridor to hide from the last red peg knight.

So are there any recommended skills for Fae? I've had Ideas of just making her purely a buffer/debuffer since she just seems to die to everything that's not a mage. She spends most of her time at the back doing nothing and just chimes in whenever the occasional Robin appears.

With no 5* Nino available I'm so tempted to promote my -Spd/+Atk 4* Nino. Would I regret later if I use my feathers for it?

-Spd is pretty bad. You'd almost certainly have to equip Nino with Darting Blow to compensate. Doubling is a BIG deal with Nino since it's what allows her to ORKO most things. +Atk is good though. Not sure if I would invest 20k feathers in that nature however.

Well I'd definitely say Kagero. Even if Michalis is good he's not going to be as good as kagero, although she kinda overlaps with takumi in terms of utility

Sorry to hear he is -ATK which is not ideal, but a 5 star copy is a 5 star! Eliwood is not that rare to pull, so make sure you find a good 3 star or 4 star nature of him, make that ideal nature 5 star and then merge this -ATK one into him.

A 5 star is 22k free feathers. ;)

Can't decide between Moonbow and Noontime for Eirika...

Do you use Eirika a lot to fight or mostly as support? Myself, use her mostly as a support/stat buffer for Nino and Linde (-bladetome users), so she hardly sees melee unless absolutely necessary (HECTOR!). In this case I plan on giving her a fast activation damage one like Moonbow.

If you like her to be in the frontline, Noontime could help with the heal/selfsustain. If you really like her, whynotboth.jpg. Just learn both and switch until you find one you like best. I'm teaching tons of stuff to my Linde, who is my favorite character. She has her "main build" done and is already sitting at 420 extra SP because she kills a lot of stuff, my point being if you favor a certain character SP won't even be a problem long term for him/her.

Any rumor for the next banner? Today's will be only up to 27th, which means something else is coming soon, right?

Battling Michalis is a shorter banner and ends on the 27th, but Blazing Shadows banner will still be up til the 30th.

So I think we still have a week of wait before the next banner, should be up only when Blazing Shadows ends on the 30th, unless we get a new event such as a Voting Gauntlet that brings more banners.

I'm getting super anxious because I don't pull since the Battling Ursula banner, I want something good... I could use Ninian but even her wasn't enough to make me pull. This banner is full of colorless focus and I don't want Minerva either. So I'm saving my orbs.
