Wait, its supposed to end on the 11th and not start?

yes
the date parser ends on the 11th @8 PDT, if i'm reading this right

Code:
  // countdown
        $('#countdown').countdown({
            until: new Date(Date.parse(setting.counter.lastDate)),
            layout: $('#countdown').html(),
            timezone: setting.counter.timeZone
        });

Yeah it's supposed to end on that date. There's some errors with the javascript code if your inspect in the chrome debug tool.
Just to warn the others, Bayonetta will very probably be released on:
11th April

Yeah looks like they just fucked up a bit on the site

my main problem is mainly with balance and combat...

in bayo 2 everything you do before you charge the "supermegamoves" doesn't matter,you just tickle the enemies and then start pamming mega attacks that occupy half of the screen

in bayo 1 you actually had to play with style, wicked waves were the reward for playing well and even if you didn't use them you were still feeling like you were doing SOMETHING.

the other problem are the floaty flying boss battle..no idea what they were thinking there.

Yeah, agreed. It really annoyed me how they gutted the combo point system in 2 (they might as well have removed it entirely). Also, enemies don't react to your attack enough, which makes every enemy feel like a brick-wall-bullet-sponge. Slowing down the dodge and nerfing Panther Offset makes combat feel static and hampers the whole move-dodge-attack dynamic that Bayo1 had going on. And the Lumen Sage fights are legit bullshit when you're trying to PP them.

But it's all okay because the superior Bayo game is coming to Steam. \o/

I wouldn't be surprised if Bayonetta 3 was console exclusive to Xbox One / Scorpio, and on Steam / PC.

Not because it shouldn't be on PS4 / PS4 Pro (it should) but because Microsoft will be looking for exclusives to show off Scorpio.

After what happened with Scalebound? Not likely.

After Scalebound, I'll be surprised if MS and Platinum ever work together again.

LOL.

Platinum is never working with Microsoft again after Scalebound.

And then it'll get cancelled just like Scalebound!

Still sad about that :(

You read it here folks. Expect this at E3 now.
Just like how months before a random post called Bayo 2 and Nintendo exclusivity.
scalebound was canceled so bayo 3 could live.

Sure because the last PG/MS collab went well!

After the Scalebound debacle I highly doubt Platinum would want to deal with MS ever again.

Bayonetta has a better chance on PC/PS4 especially after seeing the positive sales for Nier on both PC and PS4.

to be honest,platinum are guns for hire, they will work with whoever pay the bills, companies are not touchy and they still got paid even if scalebound got gutted

Wasn't the talk that they didn't get paid for 6 months because of missed deadlines, and then the game was cancelled?

Definitely will grab Bayonetta if it hits Steam but I honestly won't get excited until it is actually announced (this is Sega we are talking about).

didn't hear about that..of course that might change things, if it's true

depends in what terms the two part left each other

If for some reason Bayonetta 3 happens and its just PC/PS4, It would be the weirdest trilogy to grace consoles that I have ever seen.

Bayo 1 on Xbox 360 (PC maybe) since ps3 version sucks
Bayo 2 only on Wii U
Bayo 3...

What a weird story this would be, of course theres always emulation.

even if PG was fine with it MS obviously would not be.

Yeah, it's funny that people are suggesting Platinum would be the ones to say no. It might actually be the guys who spent tens of millions of dollars and got nothing, ha.

Can't wait for Bayonetta 1 on PC. Day one, all my money, etc.

(Also, anybody got any links to that Nintendo Bayonetta 2 contract? Sounds like interesting reading.)

scalebound it's not the first project that got canceled in history,and microsft still needs exclusive games BADLY

i'm not saying that's the case,hell bayo 3 probably doesn't exist and never will, but it's not impossible..especially since platinum STILL needs a publisher,they can't do a game by themselves (although it was their declared long term objective), and i don't know if sega is ready to do that again.

There's no contract to read. There's repeated comments from people that actually worked on the game clarifying the game's status and Nintendo's stake in it, and if the words of Inaba and Kamiya aren't good enough, then I don't know what to tell people who don't think that's sufficient, other than to seek immediate psychiatric help.

The only other series with a locked sequel off the top of my head is Dead Rising 3. MS has their hands in that one, so it can't come to PS4 unless things change. While Dead Rising 4 will be on the system by the end of the year supposedly.

Aokage

Pretty nice guy (apart from the blue shadows thing...)
This is a real, playable game genius animator Hidetoshi Kai (Bayonetta character animation lead, former sprite wizard) whipped up waaaay back in the day. It was an internal, fun little thing I played when I worked at P+. It's cool to see it get an official release.

The question is, why now? I have absolutely no idea, but as a fan I pray it might mean a PC port of Bayo 1, maybe?

I bet Nintendo will give another shot. They kept publishing Fatal Frame series even when the sales were horrible.

MS has a lot of hands in Dead Rising, especially with the bite-sized Dead Rising 2 spin-offs not leaving the 360 at all.

We don't know the full story behind scalebound but you don't usually invest in something a second time if the you got nothing out of it the first time.
