What curse? They've not been better than any of the Spanish top 3 since 2013. They should stick to steamrolling their uncompetitive domestic league.

And I think they're awfully consistent, hardly a weak spot. A few seasons ago they had no top class striker with I think Matri netting the most, now they have both Dybala and Higuain. I think every team wants to avoid them.

Real Madrid doesn't even need to bribe the ref. The ref is probably already a fan. I don't think it's possible to find a fair ref for a Real Madrid match. If it isn't bribery they probably feel intimidated by the history and rule in favor of real madrid.
I really hope Juve can win it this year.

You have to build up players though. Can't just field them every ten matches and expect them to be at a great level.
That's on Bayern's B team for not producing enough good players lately. They barely even compete for the Bundesliga these days.

Ancelotti's only mistake was not taking out Vidal, because he was playing recklessly. Bayern was much better when it was 11v11.

The refs did fuck up in both games sadly and I hope in a couple of years when Video replies are in full swing in UCL at least the major fuck ups won't be part of the game
looking at both games in full I feel we did a little better than you but you did good.
Your next objective is to focus on rebuilding the team since many of the key players are on their way to retirement and that is a huge undertaking and usually take years even sometimes decades but I'm sure the future is bright for Bayern

Let's not go there. Vidal should have been sent out long before. Bayern got a bullshit penalty in the first game and nobody said the ref was bribed. Real get an offside goal and the ref is bribed or intimidated?! It's really 2 big decision for Real (offside+casemiro red) against one for Bayern (penalty). This happens all the time in football.
I'm almost sure 3rd goal for Real wasn't an offside.
In the Dutch cup they're running a pilot with the video ref system. In one game, the home team scored the 1-0 winner in the 93rd minute. Ref initially gave the goal, but retracted it after the system showed the Goalie got pushed.
We need this in everything
We need to rebuild. No Lahm, aging players (Ribery, Robben, Alonso, Rafinha) and a lack of depth (as was evident).

There's was this cool game and then there was a game the ref shaped. They were not the same. No reason for any "big" club to whine (including bayern) though cause they all take advantage of the system. The video-system can't come soon enough.
Real deserved to go through, but I cannot be angry about today's Bayern performance.
A little annoyed with Vidal & Costa. Taking Lewy off was also a big blow.
All in all, this golden generation won their title (unfortunately only one) and the Rib-Rob years seem to be over. It will take some time to rebuild the squad without Lahm.
I do blame management a little for having such a small squad.
