I've been looking forward to this game since it was originally announced. I'm all excited for Cuphead like the next guy, but where is Below? It looked far more interesting.

They were both announced like 4 years ago, and have been in limbo for some time.\

Both games have incredibly strong art design, amazing music, but the gameplay looks somewhat questionable.

I believe OP is referencing the fact that everyone asks when Cuphead will finally release but nobody asks where Below is despite both having been largely absent for quite some time (Below more so). This isn't a dig at Cuphead, guys.

Cuphead looks pretty but I'm still not convinced it'll be any good. They don't seem to have the confidence of vision other indie devs do when a great game is at the end of the bargain.

Actually, it was the opposite for me. Cuphead makes me forget about Below. Because it uses hard to make, expensive to produce, detailed visuals and animation and isn't using a minimalist approach like 99% of indie games.

Maybe there thinking of adding kart racing levels and escort/stealth missions to Cuphead at this point. I can't help feeling that adding platforming and delaying the game is a huge misstep on their part. That should have been saved for a sequel if the original game caught fire.

I mean we do know more about cupheada than below. We havent really seen anything of below since it was announced right? Its practically vaporware as far as i know. At least with cupheads we know the main reason it got delayed was to add platforming stages
