Well if we assume this leaker is telling the truth, and Trials of Osiris is Trials of the Nine. We do have a confirmed Expansion Pack set to be dealing with Osiris related content.
There is an extremely good chance that Expansion I is Mercury content. Great opportunity to expand on the story, PvE and PvP.

A lot of assumptions but I don't think it's farfetched.

Yeah. I do hope that we'll see Mercury etc, even if it's just one mission, in this game.

No new classes.

And no, Saturn content wasn't scrapped, just being reworked for now. Apparently this is the big shakeup Luke Smith facilitated.

Honestly, hearing more about it, my excitement is back to 10. I just gotta decide if i'll stick with PS4 or switch to PC.

Sounds like D1 all over again when the Dreadnaught was cut out for TTK.

In ten hours I'll either be really hyped or really bummed. Some of these changes seem really awful - like the sparrow - but maybe there's some type of alternate transportation or travel method that will take its place. Would feel pretty icky if they cut the sparrows to, say, extend game time or something.

Last bit from the leaker before that thread got nuked.

Currency and materials work like they do in D1, your vault has a cap and we will just have to deal with it.

Don't see how getting a sparrow after 15 hrs instead of 3 is a dealbreaker.

The leaks might all be true, but without context they are meaningless.

The outrage that's forming is just the usual internet bullshit.

Because players should be able to go down to the planet and explore early in the game, not 15 hours into it.

I don't think anyone said it was a dealbreaker. But it's stupid and limiting.

Well except for the fact that most of the people saying that will still be there Day 1. Besides that sure.

Plenty of other games to be played in my case. Never was a Destiny nut in the first place.

But I'm pretty confident I'll be playing this with a friend at 60 fps on pc though, would be ludicrous if it wasn't.

Maybe it's not? No context, but you're calling it stupid and limiting.

The usual internet bullshit.

Nah, no bullshit here. Sparrows are needed to get around on planets. The areas are going to be very large.

Not letting players use it until after the campaign, even though they can go down to the planets and explore, is limiting.

You have no context!

We don´t even know how the campaign or the game is structured.

Maybe the campaign is super focussed and linear. TTK went in this direction, as did the last expansion.

Maybe the entire game opens up only after beating the campaign.

Leaker talks about a second hub opening after beating the game - maybe this is where Destiny actually starts!

Maybe there wont even be patrols until beating the game.

We don´t know shit.

No context - only bullshit.

I agree with this. No context is provided, so it's too early to judge.

Back on team fake after seeing the "leaker" delete all his comments. Just gonna assume he knew some stuff (the classes and planets) and made the rest up, until I'm proven otherwise.

He probably got scared. Someone here is also suggesting that the info is legit.

The only part of the leaker's stuff I hope is true is the stuff about the story being 10-15 hours and there being a lot more endgame content than D1 or TTK.

Then this people have some fantastic revisionism going on.
For example, by far one of the biggest complaints, on launch and up to this day, has been how few and small the zones Destiny 1 has.
And now apparently they went and... did it again. It blows my mind if this is true.
Since this game was revealed we've been given no indication Bungie learned anything yet somehow the diehards think times a changin

I believe the person here has only said some of it is right (planets and classes), which makes sense and aren't really hard to believe.

I doubt pretty much everything else now though (4v4 only, the way the weapon loadout work, no Sparrow til end game, No Trials of Osiris, no Machine Guns, etc).

I will say that I think leaks full of things that the community would be unsure about and not necessarily want to hear are decidedly more likely than leaks full of things the community would want to hear.

The indication I needed was given to me 18 months ago with TTK.

Yep TTK was a good step in the right direction. If only the had a better base game to work with it, then it would be amazing.

Honestly the thing I want most in D2 is that they get rid of the lobby style game and make it more open world like in true MMOs. I'm sick of having to form parties and select activities while on orbit... just let us make that while I'm exploring a planet. Hopefully shinobi leak is right and we'll be getting that.

I'm not replying to anyone in particular, but I'm hoping that D2 has the following

  • More of the Metrod Prime style scanning that we saw in the early missions of TTK
  • In game Grimoire, as previously a lot of gamers will have missed the incredible lore of the first game
  • Resolution, or furthering of The Stranger's storyline (fan theory suggests she's linked to Osiris so might factor into DLC 2)
  • Dedicated servers for PvP as D1 has been a complete mess at times

There's defo more but I'm just about to go into a day long meeting in 5 mins and had to get involved in the chat.

Hmm yeah, calling fake as well. But boy if it is real, today is gonna be hilarious.

It depends. People might be annoyed at no sparrows at the beginning and a lot of the game taking place on Earth.

But then, if they announce ranked Crucible, LFG for Raids and matchmaking for everything else? And the game looks insanely beautiful? Will probably be okay.

This is wrong on a factual level.

Not only did Bungie give an "indication," they made many changes to the game.

Like, two years ago.

That feels like it was done to sell the illusion it was real info, at least to me.

If you want to believe what you want to believe, sure.

Exactly the same thing happened with the Switch Reveal leak. Poster leaked everything, then deleted their posts.

I'd say a negative leak is more likely to be real than a positive leak.

He probably got scared. Someone here is also suggesting that the info is legit.

Leaking info we're going to get in a matter of hours on a burner account on Reddit isn't the most precarious situation a leaker could put themselves in.

Shinobi has a pretty good track record, and this new leak feels like it counters some of that. It could be real, but if I wanted to troll people with a fake leak, a quickly deleted leak on a one-off account is a pretty effective strategy.

Stuff that could've been added in a patch? Eh, needs more than that. A lot more.

The one thing I take solace in regardless of if these leaks are true or not is that they happened the day before a full unveiling of the game. I'm not going to read too much into anything and just enjoy the show later today. :D

Er... like a completely new game along with those features? Which this is?

This is an overly simplistic way to brush aside features that drastically changes how people play the game.

Well yea I know, you just pointed out things that could be added in a patch and said people would probably be ok if they announced that stuff.

... and players got free content updates and a new $30 expansion.

Just wanted to finish your sentence since you forgot to. :p
;]

But yeah, none of the content after TTK inspires confidence for me. Best case scenario you can look at it as, 99% of Bungie was working on the sequel and the supposed "live team" did what they could.

In a lot of ways, post-TTK Destiny is the game at its all time lowest point. Massive stretches of time with no new content in sight, horrible communication, massive influx of micro-transactions, baffling balance changes, SRL, over-relience on recycled content, etc.

TTK was an improvement. It's probably what the original game should've been. A few months after that until now has been back to being a shit show.

I hope D2 is amazing. I'll play it day one regardless. I have next to no faith in Bungie though.

You think a patch could make the game look insanely beautiful ? Idk man I've never seen a Dev patch in a HUGE leap in graphical fidelity.
