Some of it sounds good, some if it sounds bad.

Wrong, streamers have stated clearly they are allowed to play and record footage of both versions, PS4 and PC.

yeah, but nothing keeps Bungie from pulling a "hey, PC version isnt solid yet, PS4 Pro only for now". But we'll see, I hope its there, or at least gets some attention through either the reveal, or post-reveal by the people present.
Yeah, I'm assuming the moons are not going to look the same, nor like regular moons.

I was actually hoping I wouldn't be too excited about D2 because I was so addicted to D1, but this thread is shredding that hope. I can't wait to see it, esp if it looks like Horizon!! :-o

IIRC, we had some of these same kinds of rumors ahead of the Destiny 1 reveal. They tend to be specific to the build being shown, regarding things like player counts. Everyone freaked out when fireteams were revealed to be groups of 3, thinking PvP was 3v3 and raids were with that small of a group. Bungie had to clarify after everyone lost it.
Which is to say, they might just be showing 4v4 modes today in this build, and that's all the leaks had enough context to talk about.

I'd honestly be happy with fewer planets to explore if the environments are big and varied enough. In D1 I feel like there were planets I just stopped visiting entirely after I got to a certain point.
There are no differences. Just additional locations.
I feel like Earth was only boring because there was only one environment you could really explore, and it was kind of drab, with no recognizable landmarks or anything. It would've been so much more interesting if we had been able to explore the Mumbai Push, maybe China, maybe the U.S., or the Amazon

Can't say I'm surprised, at all.
From marketing perspective it makes sense to hold material back and release it over long period of time to keep hype going.
I wouldnt count on it.

Would be strange if it launched within the blizzard app. But they could be using a version of it but with a different skin and could be a push for Activision PC games going through a branded launcher that you could link your blizzard account to.
Not sure how it would fit in to the eco system of the blizzard app now but you would find a lot of wow / overwatch / diablo players probs giving it a go if it was just there.
Wierd to think everything Titan could of been and maybe after a look at what Destiny was internally they may have seen too much overlap or that Destiny was just a more compelling product. Either way we got Overwatch from that decision.
Even though I've probably played the original Destiny more than any other game this gen it wasn't exactly what I thought it was advertised as. But really hyped about 2 and hope they can improve on the stuff they got right and bring in the features / story / atmosphere that were missing.

If the 30fps leak is real, D2 will be the only console shooter in 2017 running at that framerate.
Battlefield, CoD, Battlefront, Titanfall 2, Gears of War 4, Uncharted 4, Halo 5, Overwatch, EVERYONE is 60fps...

None of those games have competitve pvp, at least not on the level of Destiny.
Edit: Just saw your edit, yeah my bad, I was referring to competitive pvp shooters.
