Here is hoping it will release this year. Hopefully its the last game starring Kratos. I like him, but his story is so done, specially after this game.

Nope no need to remove Kratos keep him in the games, other games keep the same protagonists for decades why should this remove it, its like removing Master Chief from Halo or Link from Zelda etc

How do you know his story is done at the end of this game? God of War isn't God of War without Kratos.

I really really hope that the PS4 PRO support for this game is as advanced as some third party games which improve the graphics so much adding many graphical settings, increasing the resolution and improving the FPS.
Most if not all of Sony First Party games only improve the resolution and barely add any graphical features or something so big to talk about (most of the clearer textures and IQ comes from the increased resolution).
I know Sony doesn't want to make the base version of their games look very distant of the PS4 PRO version but I don't agree with this policiy at all. It must be Sony who needs to make the PS4 PRO shine to appeal to more customers.
The FPS of this GOW is within the line of the previous GOW games (not remastered) where the framerates are unlocked. So this is between 34-37-40 FPS which is very impressive giving such visuals.
I am pretty sure they could get close and rhit and hit 60 FPS on the PS4 PRO.
That is the basic thing they could achieve with the PS4 PRO.

Are they really gonna call it just "God of War"?
I mean it's not a reboot and it continues the plot after III. Not that I dislike it thought, I think it's fine as it is.

What am I supposed to be seeing in the red highlight?

What a strange thing to say. How do you know what will happen to the character after this game?! Maybe they'll open up a whole new arc for him? Maybe they'll evolve him in really interesting ways and we'll all want him back in the next game.

Is God of War still interesting? I mean its not Final Fantasy big. I know it used to be big in 2010 with 3, but then the interest faded away from the community. I dont hear a lot of gamers talk about the prequel Ascension.

That's why the new one is so different, to regain interest from fans and new people.

And yeah, as a tired fan I'm on board.

Ascension was the game that was supposed to shake things up, in the end it was just a really forgetful story and the combat changes were frustrating, not fun. They're going in a completely different direction now.

Yes. They look like they're evolving the franchise in interesting ways, completely redeeming Kratos and it was the most viewed trailer from E3 last year. There is still significant interest and I'd say this has the potential to be the bigger seller in the series.
