The Switch has this power that makes me want to try games I wouldn't have played on something else.
Same here...I find it because I take the thing everywhere and find times where I can just sit and play 10 to 30 minutes.

You can just play the game without motion controls. The motion control gimmick.. looks horrible. Who thought that was a good idea? Yikes. and the Amiibo support?..
No, thats the special edition, vanilla vegetation was noticeably worse than that.that pc shot is the vanilla version i believe not the special edition
I love the idea of a portable Skyrim but that performance seemed a little disappointing.

Take a walk. It's portable. Not that much of a stretch.Odd choice of music here...
What the hell are you taking about? The Link segment looks like it was running at 60fps
The Link segment did look like it was running at 60. Most of the rest however did not. Not saying it will be bad at all, just wishing for higher framerate is par for the course these days.
direct feed looked 60fps, the offscreen footage wasnt actually offscreen just a video super imposed onto the switch which cut the framerate
honestly look like a "custom" version to me
I just rewatched the video and the Link part definitely looked 60 which made me think that it would run 60 in docked as that was the first part of the video to go fullscreen. But some later ones seem to be running similarly to handheld mode.
Honestly, I wouldn't really expect the Switch to run this game at a full 60 but it's nice to want things, you know? I'll still likely pick it up.
idk all the direct feed footage looks 60fps, and i've put over 600 hours into skyrim vanilla on pc

I think lacking mods is ridiculous and should be pushed as a big issue but it seems like im in the vocal minority. Hardly anyone here even mentioned lack of mods.
Is it possible the trailer was rendered on PC? Or has it been confirmed it was rendered on Switch?
Can somebody explain to someone like me who never played skyrim why mods are such a crucial thing to have? Some are making it out to be as if the original game was pure shit or something.

Only the Link Amiibo, that's unfortunate. As said on the YouTube E3 stream.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch includes all-new gameplay features like motion controls for combat and lockpicking, outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda. Take down enemies with the Master Sword, protect yourself with the Hylian Shield or look heroic in the Champions Tunic. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch also includes all official add-ons: Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. Plus tap other compatible amiibo to gain additional loot including those from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild series, 30th Anniversary - The Legend of Zelda series, Super Smash Bros. series, and The Legend of Zelda series.
Is that just the various Links? Hope the 8-bit link gets me a pixel sword lol
No release date unveil bodes ill for a release this year.
I don't know, but wouldn't it be a little ridiculous if the debut Switch trailer was using PC footage?
I wish that it had options to make it a little less violent. I would love to play this with my wife, but we have small kids and it is a bit too much for them.

I think the Switch doubling the PS4's frame rate is a much more ludicrous idea.
