BST is a scam imo where people try to make money out of that. Thats why I always ask from SteamGAF or GroupBuys, because most people here are more reasonable.

Why is that a scam? People aren't allowed to make money off the demand from other users?

People are selling Hyper Light Drifter for $3-5 in that thread. That's a really good deal.

Sure, but I remember the GoW stuff or when people bought thousands of WB humble bundles to sell the bundle they got for 1$ for 20$.

Awesome, Hyperlight Drifter and Kero Blaster were on my wishlist, Armello looks cool too.
Pretty good.

Now debating whether to get Pillars or not. Looks like the cheapest the expansion pass has been was 12€, so that would make 24€ for the full package with this bundle... Eh.

Eh? I mean if someone is asking an unreasonable price it's easy enough to just ignore them.

There are some people like that. But it seems more to be people splitting up a $12 monthly bundle for $18.

Yeah, it's 75% off the full price or even less. Since you can't know what's in the humble, you'll probably with some spares, since you invested money selling those spares is a way to recover some money. Also if you don't like the price proposed, just avoid buying. Call it a scam is just stupid.

Im not saying HLD for 4$ is a scam. I am saying a lot of people in the thread are trying to "scam" users.

Remember GoW4 for free from Amazon? A lot of gaffers somehow sold copies that got revoked for 30$.
Usually with big AAA bundles, people buy up 10 of those, then wait a few months to sell the games there they got for 1$ for 10$.
You also have scalpers in there during new console launches.

This was probably the weekend Monthly for me since I started my subscription but it STILL had one game off my wishlist that's worth like $9 on sale. And it has HLD so that means it is actually super good, just not for me since I already own that :p Along with the Sherlock game I literally just finished last week.

People are splitting bundles and you can mostly get the games there for the "normal" price. (Say a bundle has 6 games for 12$, each game would be sold for 2$ there).

wow, and Valve allow that group on Steam even though most of what they do is probably against their policy?
How is that better, more justified, than the B/S/T thread here?

Personally I have no trouble with either, just don't understand why that group is considered better.

Just saw there a new UI coming for Steam, it seems? Hope it's nice and has a clean or minimalist look to it.

Also, the last game I purchased in this sale was A Bird Story. I liked To the Moon so here's hoping for a good ride! It's going to be a really short experience, most people are mentioning 1 hour long.

Why would it be against their policy? They are splitting the bundles more "fair" than most of what I personally see in BST. I got both games I wanted for 4$ now thanks to them.

Im not against BST, mind you. Just I see a lot of people there that try to take advantage of other people who might not check out prices every few days. Like I said. During the Gears of War 4 price-mistake where you got it for free, so many gaffers sold it there for 30$, then had to refund everyone.
During NES Mini, so many people scalped their NES there.
Switch the same.
It will be the same with the SNES Mini.

Like I said. I prefer SteamGAF, because here "we" give away games, sell them for a fair price and dont try to get people to buy it from themselves for a higher price.

is H1Z1 KOTK or PUBG better?

I think the mechanics/concepts as they are now are way more fun and interesting in H1Z1, but the fact that like people have said, it's like another DayZ in terms of patchless hells and long term jankiness leaves PUBG to be a safer bet. I used to have them more equal or H1Z1 a little higher, but PUBG finally released enough optimization and system patches to matter, and with dedication to future mechanics/maps already in progress makes it a decent bet if you're set on a battle royale game.

Given there's just three hours until Grimoire, the ultimate vaporware, unlocks, I thought I would share CGW's 1997 preview of the game.

I loved To The Moon as well, maybe a should check out A Bird Story if it's short and a similar vein!

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Hi Monk, long time no see!

Yes we're getting a new UI soon, but I don't think that it will be very minimalist. They're adapting elements from the store to include in the library view (such as user tags and reviews) so I'll be shocked if they can implement all of these new features while keeping the UI clean and minimalistic. Hopefully using skins on the client will remain possible after the new update.

And please let us know what you think about A Bird Story!

I see. Thanks for the input.

Answer from steam support about recently removed games that not shown in community profiles
Hello,

I am sorry for any inconvenience but we recently updated the status of some games that have been removed from the Steam community. You are still free to access them in your Library, but they will no longer be included in game counts or in any other parts of the community.

This game count number also excludes some content in your Library such as add-ons, DLC, and free-to-play games.

Not to shit all over Grimoire, I actually have it wishlisted I just want to see reviews for it first to get a basic idea of it because the style/type of game sounds like one I would enjoy

I see that Shiness is the daily deal, and it's $3 cheaper than it was during the Summer Sale.

I'm super interested in this game but honestly won't have time to play it any time soon and before you know it, it'll probably be 75% off.

What's up with that btw ? I noticed it too when I randomly refreshed my profile and saw a drop in games/dlcs.

EDIT: Just found the posts relating to this in the thread, thanks.

Thank you for pointing this out, I ALWAYS forget about this game.
Didn't even know it had released.

Might bite. Not sure if I'll have time but at least I can't forget forget about it if I buy it.

Edit: oh wait, I just read the reviews... seems it's pretty bad.

The Metronome Mysterium? The Clock of Fate? And this is from 1997? You're saying this pre-dates the Zybourne Clock by six years?!

Schackles! :D

Well as long it's something new it's okay. I know there are skins we can use but I have a feeling that it's been a long time since a big UI change. Here's hoping it's for the best.
