I love how they have taken what was already a truly awful idea (merging so many Disney stories that take place in different times & settings) and turned it into something 20 times more awful than it sounded in the first place.

Was Once Upon A Time not a big enough Disney jerkoff session?

Also, if your mother was a professional puppy murderer, you don't get to sing songs about how you're such a badass because you kicked over somebody's laundry basket.

When OP originally posted this he should have been clearer it's an inconsequential Disney channel movie. Not theatrical and damn cheesy

Switch Back 9

a lot of my threads involve me fucking up somehow. Perhaps I'm a moron?
You couldn't pay me enough money to act in a movie like this.

ok, that's not true, but holy Christ Almighty this is some awful, awful shit

I am watching it right now, over 30 mins in.

And I don't get the hate. This is actually watchable, and I laughed more than once. A lot of clever references.

We're getting a sequel...

Descendants-2_FIRST-LOOK.jpg

The story deepens in the music-driven sequel to the global smash hit “Descendants,” as the teenage sons and daughters of Disney’s most infamous villains — Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay (also known as Villain Kids or VKs) — try to find their place in idyllic Auradon. When the pressure to be royally perfect becomes too much for Mal, she returns to her rotten roots on the Isle of the Lost where her archenemy Uma, the daughter of Ursula, has taken her spot as self-proclaimed queen of the run-down town. Uma, still resentful over not being selected by Ben to go to Auradon Prep with the other Villain Kids, stirs her pirate gang including Captain Hook’s son Harry and Gaston’s son Gil, to break the barrier between the Isle of the Lost and Auradon, and unleash all the villains imprisoned on the Isle, once and for all.

I don't think there's enough interest, but go for it
I in this particular instance don't care all that much about the property but you're like the fifth person to do it in the last few days on both gaming side and OT and its kind of irritating tbh.
If new information isn't worth a thread it's probably not worth the bump either.

I disagree

Clearly some of us, are interested in this property for some morbid reason so its worth sharing.

But the fact that this thread is 3 years old, has the announcement, trailer, debut, announcement of sequel and now look and is less than 300 posts tells you not a ton of interest forum-wide.

And technically only a year old since the last post in the thread

If this was from 2013 wouldn't have bumped

I got grudge sucked!
My daughters love this stuff. The youngest has already decided to be Mal for Halloween. At this point I know about every Monster High character by name, so Descendants isn't going to phase me.

Its amazing what you can tolerate and what you can't as a parent.

Eh, I'll watch it. The world is so crappy now, I've really begin to appreciate the little island of peace that Disney entertainment can provide. Probably my favorite sitcom right now is Stuck in the Middle because the parents win half the time ... Also, it's just not cruel. Tired of cruelty in everything.

So, yeah, I'll watch it, not ashamed to admit it.

I need to catch an airing of it. We made last Friday night a big event in the house for the premiere because my daughter was so hyped for it. I was out getting pizza and missed the first 40 minutes or so. I did like that "Chillin' like a Villian" song, or the chorus anyway; it was pretty catchy.
New Descendants means new Descendants merch though. My daughter already wants an Uma doll and we saw a ton of the new D-Signed line at Kohls that a few weeks back that she's waiting for a sale on.
