This is MSs biggest issue, and by Phils own omission, will take years to fix. Theyve been focused on fixing the hardware and course correcting the XBOX platform after the terrible X1 launch, which means their first party output has fallen behind. Their few attempts at new exclusive IP this gen (Sunet Overdrive, ReCore, etc) have not landed in the way that Sonys have.
This wouldnt be as big of a deal if X1 was the still the best place for third-party, but since PS4 generally has the better multi-plat versions, AND has the larger installed base by 2:1, its a really shitty hole to be in.
I bought a PS4 Pro a couple months ago after seeing how dry the Xbox release schedule is and it was a great decision. Already ive finished off The Last Guardian, HZD, Uncharted 4, The Order, and Im currently playing Hellblade. After that I still have Last of Us, Nier: Automata, Persona 5, and Final Fantasy 12 to get to, which should keep me busy until fall and God of War.
PS4 library is nuts right now. The Xbox library is so dry, im not even sure if im going to upgrade to an Xbox One X at launch. Right now im leaning towards just waiting until 2018 when ill have more of a backlog on Xbox.
