Last week must have been busy for me, because I had no clue this released and missed all the threads... I've been in the PSN store multiple times, but always figured it was just the pre-order that was displayed everywhere...

Was just coming to the end of my The Way of the Warrior trophy run (reach Chapter 5 without using guns/explosives), in the Axe trials when I knocked R2 against my knee and fired a single shot. I pressed options as quick as you could imagine and saw "auto saving" so I thought yep that's 80 minutes of my time wasted. Quit out and reloaded and THANKFULLY my shots fired count was still at 0. Just crushing to beat now and the plat is mine.

Not sure if this has been discussed before but what is with the insane prices for some of the loot chests?

If I'm reading the menus correctly some of the weapons are only in the DLC loot chest which are something like 2,000 Relic points.

Is there a faster way to get Relic points other than just playing multiplayer?

You either do daily challenges to get chunks of relic points or buy Uncharted points. I've played many hours of UC4 MP since last year, so I've gotten most of the stuff. The only Uncharted points I've actually bought with real money were the ones included in the Explorer's Pack that got me Lost Legacy.

Turn on auto aim if you want to feel like total bad ass.

I don't have a problem hitting targets, I have a problem with how easily they hit you given how much damage you take. If you want to use the environment as a jungle gym and run about be prepared to experience most combat encounters in black and white.

I do feel that easy mode is the way Uncharted is meant to be played. It just allows you to play it like the action movie it is. The hell with the trophies!

Same thing happened to me. If you're going to put a trophy in your game that disallows a mere touch of the trigger for about 2 hours of playtime, an action that is cooked into your brain after playing all the way through, they should give you an option to disable. Bad trophy otherwise. More of the difficulty comes from the stress of not wanting to make a mistake.

Player like 5 or 6 chapters today at bro's place. I've constantly been having my jaw drop when looking at these environments. My God there are some insane, absolutely insane locations places here. U4 already was crazy but I would say this improved over it.

Just beat the game, not sure if it's honey moon period speaking or not but I found it as enjoyable as UC2 so currently my ranking is...

UC4 > UCLL=UC2 > UC3 > UC

Paced better than UC4 and touching moments to rival it, set peaces as good as UC2 especially the phenomenal finale.

Man I was ready to get a little angry at the story because of the
whiney ass daddy issue
parts but it seemed like ND kinda realized that themsevels and dropped it just soon enough in an ok way.

Cool game all around.

I wonder if the open world-ish part of it maybe even served as a little test case for future games (Last of Us 2?)

You're in for a treat with chapter 9.

That's my ranking as well after giving it some thought. For me, what pushes UC4 to the top over TLL is the much better villains, more varied combat encounters and most importantly in a UC game to have, more variety in characters surrounding the player to bounce interactions off of, rather than just the two mainly in TLL.

Along that last point, it's why I enjoyed so much of the last few chapters in TLL.

kamineko

Does his best thinking in the flying car
Finished it just in time for Yakuza Kiwami <3

It's my new fave

TLL>UC2>UC1>UC4>UC3

What a fun, well-paced romp, with all the gameplay enhancements of 4. Simply fantastic

Right on. I don't care if UC4 is paced slower because every scenario is rich with detail and interactions. And like you said varied encounters and better villain. Asav is great though, very menacing and I prefer him to Lazarovic.

More than anything I am so glad that a B team managed to make such an awesome UC game, had my doubts after UC3 B team effort.

Pretty much mirrors my thoughts on this as well. Only difference is that 2, 4, & TLL will probably shift around as my favorites depending on the mood.

What a fantastic game regardless. Loved every minute of it, and really dug the chemistry between Chloe & Nadine
and later Sam Drake
.

I would be Day Zero if they (ND) were to make a follow up game/sequel to this.

Just finished this on Crushing difficulty. Fantastic.

There are so many great setpiece moments that are just classic Uncharted.

Swinging from the helicopter, the events at Belur, the entire final sequence where you're swinging around the train, landing on the 4x4s, smashing motorcycles, grappling to the mounted gun, holy shiiiiit! And I loved that it was a train, felt so Uncharted 2. Goddamn that might have been my favorite sequence in any Uncharted yet.

I played through my first time on Crushing difficulty, so I may have taken longer than most to complete it. I died a lot. The only way I managed to make it through some sections was that it is very easy to go back into stealth, so I would pop out, kill a few guys, then run away and wait until they were off alert, allowing me to
blow up the APC or Helicopter
. Otherwise I don't know if I could have made it through.

Overall it's a great and polished experience, and pretty much what you expect from Naughty Dog at this point. Looking forward to The Last of Us Part II.

Oh, yeah, one minor grievance I have with the game is that I don't think the villain is that interesting. They gave a little bit of backstory on him saying that he was a doctor at one point, but other than that he's just a generic bad guy.

yes, but
it was so so satisfying to beat the crap out of him at the end
... that heel was throwing WWE-level taunts at the end.

Yeah I think I'm done trying to beat this on Crushing. After getting stuck on the
helicopter fight
in Chapter 8 for like 2 hours. I finally managed to take out all the enemies and
hit the helicopter
twice. As i'm looking for the last RPG literally all the enemies re spawn out of nowhere. So yeah fuck this game on crushing.

That's so weird . I don't understand how people didn't fire back at ND about this. It would take over 200 games to get a dlc chest...wtf.

The way I did it was to wipe out most or all of the enemies, then
grab the RPG,
hit the chopper, and throw it away for a long gun, then kill the reinforcements that arrive.
Use water liberally, keep diving underneath and hiding until the enemies go into search mode, popping out and killing more, then diving back in. Then, collect two more RPGs and hit the chopper twice after you've cleared out the rest of the enemies.

I'm not sure if they nerfed the amounts any since last year but playing the Uncharted mobile game nets you relic points. You can just use some walkthrough video to finish it fast.

Just finished the campaign. Overall it was a solid entry, if minor and a little unisnspired. The last two chapters
were the definite low point of the game, in my opinion. They felt a bit rushed and too Sammy to what has come before. Also by far the least visually interesting chapters.
. You can tell the game didn't have the budget of a main entry, but it's extrmely impressive what they managed to create.

Overall, I'd say:

U2 > U4 > ULL > U3 > U1

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Done. WOW. The fact that they turned around and did this in what, a year and a half? Amazing stuff. Top 3 Uncharted game for me.

So it's probably me being crazy but has there ever been any kind of sprint buitton in those games? Sometimes I feel like I'm running painfully slow, especially when I get far from the jeep.

There was a sprint button in Uncharted 3 multiplayer, IIRC, but they left that out of UC4 in SP and MP.

yeah they're getting so good at the motion for their characters - best in show tbh. And all that is all so smooth and well done - the way nadine/chloe/enemies all interact - the 3 way attacks just look incredible
as evidenced in the asav fight

The punch lasers have never been better. Can't wait for version 3(?) in Last of Us 2 :p

They don't spawn out of nowhere...

Some help -
IIRC after the second rpg, a round of reinforcements is announced... I think you also need to have killed X enemies too, but I'm not sure how many.

I actually found this fight easy on crushing compared to the rest, because of the water.

You can stealth your way through a lot of it starting at the house and working your way around... but if you have the ammo, you can also just get in a gunfight in the big open cave area... they'll come to you and the chopper can't get you. Just need to make sure nobody gets behind you.

There's a desert 5 on the second floor of the house near the start, you can wait on the stairs to jump on and take out the big guy who walks buy, and then go to the window and kill that dude for extra desert 5 bullets. Then you can either stealth everyone, or just go to the cave and go ham.

If you feel overrun, just jump in the pit and swim around. The submerged train cars have air pockets where you can fully heal, and it's pretty easy to lose enemies... there are a few good places to come out again --

the one in the back is particularly great, because the chopper likes to hover around there and is an easy shot.

iirc there are 2 rpgs and you need to get the third from the guy on the bridge thing. I recommend getting all 3 before worrying about the chopper.

The water tip really can't be overstated.... stay near the water, and you're always a jump away from safety. swim to a train, heal, exit on the other side of the map. kill someone, rinse and repeat. Once you clear most of the patrolers, go to the grass near the house on the right in the beginning, climb up the side of the bridge, wait for a good shot, and kill the people on the bridge, sprint back to the water. wait for everyone to lose you, then go back to the bridge for the 3rd rocket launcher.

TLDR -
option 1: stealth
option 2: kill water kill water kill water
option 3: defend cave

what are punch lasers?

Strange...

I shot the helicopter twice and then attached my rope to it and that sparked the fight/cutscene. Are people actually destroying it/blowing it up?

Just finished the game. This game was amazing. It's rivaling Uncharted 2 as my favorite entry in the franchise. It's got the Uncharted formula perfectly refined but never feels stale. The amazing character performances, the writing, the set pieces, the best finale of an uncharted game. It's got it all

I now want ND to make another. I'm thinking about one set in the past with Young Sully. Maybe with Young drake as his sidekick? Either way works for me. But Young Sully would be awesome

Also I need more Chloe led Uncharted games. She just ran laps around tomb raider. Nadine was a great companion too. Fun dynamics all the way through

Word. So I was playing through Crushing and got stuck on Chapter 8 for like 3 hours. So I gave up and finished it on Normal. Decided to retry and finish my crushing save, this time using the bonuses. Went a lot better. And I was still able to get my trophy for beating it on crushing, thank god.

So my thoughts on this game was that it is amazing. Superior to U4 in every way possible. Much better story, better tone, better pacing, fun puzzles. It actually made me like Nadine and
Sam
whom I didn't really care for either in U4. Chloe was a fantastic protagonist and I really enjoyed playing as her.

My only grip with this game is something it inherited from U4 which is the combat. U4 changed the combat a lot from the first 3 games to make it far more aggressive. And on lower difficulties this is fine but they clearly didn't balance this properly for the higher level difficulties. And this makes playing these games and hard/crushing an exercises in frustration. They aren't the good kind of difficult. They are the cheap kind of difficult. Crushing is just bad game design here. But other than that I have no major complaints about this game at all. Pretty much loved every minute of it besides the combat.

So I got that
treasure sensing bracelet
in Chapter 4.

Can I go back and replay the game from the start
with it active to find the ones I missed
?
