Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is a raucous 3D action title, where Travis touchdown wields the Beam Katana to massacre his way through countless enemies, taking on ferocious bosses in an epic battle with Badman. This marks the first time in ten years that Goichi ”Suda51" Suda has taken on the mantle of director.

”We've received a tremendous amount of support from our fans over the years, and we are delighted to finally share Travis Touchdown's next great adventure with fans of Nintendo Switch," said Goichi ”Suda51" Suda, founder of Grasshopper Manufacture. ”We're ecstatic to be expanding the No More Heroes universe in 2018, and we can't wait to share more information with you in the coming months."

Set in the remote countryside of the southern US, seven years has passed since the events of No More Heroes. Badman has come to exact his revenge on Travis for the murder of his daughter, Badgirl. As the two foes are battling it out, they're sucked inside the phantom game console ‘Death Drive MK-II', a machine developed by Doctor Juvenile. It is said that whomever collects and beats all six of its games will have their wishes granted.
Additionally, while the game's initial reveal teased the involvement of Hotline Miami as one of its collaborations with prominent independent game developers, Suda appeared on Nintendo's ”Nindies@Night" PAX West 2017 live stream tonight and teased Shovel Knight as the second collaboration. The Death Drive MK-II phantom game console and the Death Glove will play a ”very important role" in the game and for the indie collaborations.

Damon Baker just reiterated it on stream. It's 100% confirmed.

This is a neat idea, indie game kingdom hearts starring Travis Touchdown of all people, but I do wish the bosses are wholly original, or at least vague ties to the respective indie game. Their designs, personality, and backstories (however brief) were best parts of 1 and 2.

If he cant figure out a way to squeeze Destroyman into this game i will be upset.

One of the indie game worlds is totally gonna be Spelunky right.

Nice of them to clear up the gameplay style early on, people insisting it must be a minigame compilation or something despite everything suggesting otherwise was getting annoying.

Sounds so fucking cool. HD NMH. Think about it. HD NMH. Hhnnnngggg.

I ready need to dust up my Wii and replay Mario galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, NMH and play Xenoblade Chronicles.

From what I read, he doesn't like the sequel. So I guess it doesn't exist to him.

This much is obvious. It's probably the other reason why there is no '3' on the title of this one. Having the 3 implies there was a 2.

Really glad to have confirmation on it still playing like others. The people who thought they'd have bothered using UE4 for a minigame collection. were very silly.

Also, new version of the trailer where it's much easier to hear the characters. Fairly certain the reason the music was so damn loud in the presentation was because of the cussing.

How were the first terms games? Was the gameplay good in them?

the second game is streamlined and a lot better. the first game has a sort of improvisational feel to it that is pretty endearing despite some annoying and weird design choices.

Where are people getting NMH2 isn't canon from?

Suda's personal relative dislike of Desperate Struggle, the fact that the last time he directed a game was the first No More Heroes, and because the catalyst of this game is set up by actions from the first game.

Though personally instead of just outright ignoring it, I just think it's easier to market as taking place years after the first game and not mention the second for relevancy's sake.

I wonder if new indie titles betas are gonna come to TSA in the form of DLC. Like in-game story DLC that Travis downloads to his console.

Yeah, I don't think that's Robin Atkin Dowes playing Travis in that trailer.

I rewatched the initial trailer, some of the parts with swearing are actually entirely different! It's just rather hard to hear with the sound mixing.

Yep, "Travis Strikes Again is a minigame collection," WAS the new "BotW has no towns or villages."

Shovel Knight in a character action game is going to be so hype. It's the one obligatory indie Shovel Knight cameo I'll welcome with open arms (well, this and Smash).

God, Bad Girl was such a great boss.

I should replay NMH (and play NMH2 sometime too I guess).

Can't wait to see more of this.

Damn, wonder what will be the next collaborations, it's indeed pretty high profile so far...

So this should shut the not full fledged sequel crowd up right?

Can be a NMH game without being a full fledged sequel though. I see it more like a Fallout New Vegas or Zelda Triforce Heroes.

It's still not NMH3,but hopefully it'll sell really well and lead the way to it.

I love the NMH series and Suda'a work, but Travis Strikes Again sounds like a celebration of indie games rather than a celebration of NMH, not interested.

Yeah, but maybe if this indies collection sell well (which i doubt) there is a chance for proper sequel..
