If you primarily play solo just stick with a rental. You can get 80% of trophies without much work and in like 4 hours. It's a fun game. But unlike some other fighters even with more SP content on offer there isn't much to keep you interested here in the long run if you're not interested in playing lots of MP.
IMO. If SP only it's a $20 dollar game. If you're going in for MP you already bought it lol.

Try a few online matches, the netcode is really good.
Tried to get back to the game today, haven't played any online matches yet, but I don't know, for some reason this didn't hook me like MvC3/UMvC3 did, I don't even feel like watching matches on YT or Twitch, I'm just not feeling the game at all. Guess this is it for me regarding Infinite, I might go back to SFV for the time being and/or playing online matches of Infinite with friends every now and then, but I don't feel any desire to properly learn the game.

You know, though I'm not coming from a place as salty as this, I'm kinda done with the game. The flow feels so...off. The constant tagging, the endless otgs, the fucking reality stone shit. It's kinda not actually fun...at least for me.
And nail in the coffin for me is the fucking long range beam supers > tag > mix up.
Just tonight I saw punk just opt for a dash back meaty super after a combo. I've been doing the same. It's kinda like, what's the point of any other set up when super/tag locks down good enough?
And did I hear correctly when sonic fox said the game would last 3 months? lol, I think I see where he's coming from if so. I know, I know, early days and all...but, shit is already getting boring to me.
Yeah, I can't really say I've had fun with this game so far, the first week was trying to learn the new layout and mechanics, after that I'm simply in this place where I don't really know what to do with the game, I don't watch it, I don't follow it, I don't even know what the new glitches and tricks are, and it feels off when I play, like I feel like I'm doing something and it should work in some way, but then my character doesn't behave the way I was expecting them to and then you have the stupid constant active switching. I'm done too, might try to get the platinum for it because I like the trials, but I don't enjoy the game, whereas I loved MvC3 and UMvC3 back when they launched.

For me, it's because I can't really find anyone I genuinely want to play on the roster.
If this game had more choices that actually appealed to me, I know for sure I'd be playing it much more. That's literally the only thing keeping me from being as interested as I'd like to be.

What are you talking about man. He is doing really well at this tournament, he is like going toe to toe with RayRay who usually gets second at this event.
No one is beating Sonic Fox at this event though, this is a fight for 2nd place.
capcom better fix the HSD bug asap because it''s gonna make this game unwatchable. people will blow all of their resources breaking the combos and if you get touched after losing a character then it's over. at least in marvel 3 you get a chance to make a comeback with x factor if you manage to land your character. guess the soul stone will see a lot more use but then you lose variety of gameplay if most use soul to have another chance.

not saying marvel players are unskilled but haven't many been big fish in small ponds? many of the top tier players have stayed away from marvel in favor of more popular games. should we really be surprised to see them win marvel right now? it's a new game and mvc3 players don't have years of playing advantage on anybody. maybe they get lucky and sonicfox and punk abandon the game for other games.

Most of the players at NLBC that were mainstays of Marvel 3 weren't actually good at Marvel 3 late into the game's cycle. RayRay got washed by Fanatiq, remember that.
