I won't deny that you can't get 205's stuff elsewhere, better. But it's not an awful show. I agree with you completely on all those points.

Lots of people don't escape the WWE bubble, though.

I think a lot of people are very emotionally attached to a lot of the performers on the show. Some really bought in hard after the CWC. Personally, I love Tozawa. So the backlash to all this talent being on just a show that ranges from "bad to fine I guess" instead of "good to transcendent" is much stronger than it would be otherwise.

Like, Tozawa is highly unlikely to come matching any of his high end Dragon Gate multi-man or singles performances while at 205 Live. And that is really depressing, which absolutely feeds into my dissatisfaction with 205.

I'll have to take people's word for it that the Stephen Amell thing was a big deal. Did Arrow even have better ratings than Raw or Smackdown at the time?

yall acting like well booked wrestlers didn't walk out on companies all the time. the whole point is these guys have enough leverage to say "fuck this I'm out" and go find success elsewhere when the booker tries to pull some bullshit. neville didn't want to do the fucking job to enzo of all people.

it's his god given right as a worker to bar arms and walk out on fake sports if that's what the situation calls for. gotta look out for yourself.

Big Dave Meltzer talks about it all the time people hate working at the WWE but are to afraid of going on the outside. Neville just probably had enough.

Yeah, I love Tozawa as well. Some of it is the talent he does work with now. He's a big standout, and has done a lot more than the guy I wanted to see more from, poor Gran Metalik

Do we know this is what it is or are we still spreading misinformation?

Also worth noting some of the same people upset Neville left were glad Austin left twice

I can totally believe that Neville walked out because of money. He was apparently still working under his developmental contract, if he wasn't champ he wasn't going to be doing house shows or PPVs at all, and an ugly t-shirt that nobody will buy probably didn't help either.

Has anyone been able to provide a source for Neville working under his developmental contract? Because it makes no sense they would do that.

People get new contracts when they move to the main roster and get more money.

Dave confirmed multiple times now the PWS report was right and that he walked out

Dave said:
What that means regarding Neville is still up in the air. Neville wasn’t back for the 10/10 show. At this point the belief within the company is that he’s gone, including one person close to the situation insisting he’s 100 percent gone. The company’s official word is that he is still with the company and never quit. At press time, this was a situation that wasn’t fully sorted out.

If you still don't believe he walked out, that's on you Vince. Sorry about your company being hell, both if you're in the empty stands and if you're in the awful backstage

I mean, what do you guys expect will happen when the Bucks sign with WWE at the end of 2018?

Do the Bucks have any reason to sign with WWE anymore? Seems like they make enough money already

AJ did too

You have the opportunity to hit a grand slam, and it's a great capstone on your career. You can make plenty of money on your footage from being there. Madusa still makes bank, for instance.

Not really, but sometimes when you have the talent you think you can make it to the top in WWE so roll the dice.

Bucks seem smarter than that though. Maybe if they're still going when Vince is gone.

It's a place to go to when they want to retire to say they did that one last thing. That's it. Even the money they'd be offered might not be more than they earn a year already, at this point

Good point. A run in WWE is a good way to establish a good longer-term source of income.

If you get in the WWE system, do well and keep your nose clean there are innumerable sources of income you can get from it when you can't wrestle any longer.

NXT trainer, brand ambassador/PR functionary, recruiter, agent, creative etc etc etc.

The Bucks are going to sign. They are the smartest guys on the indie circuit and the know all this shit.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
I can't wait for the Bucks to put out a shirt with a horribly rendered black and white reproduction of the Jimmy Jacobs photograph and then underneath that the legend "Jimmy Jacobs got fired from WWE."

The internet wrestling community will collectively bust a nut and will bust a further nut when they release the "PAC quit WWE because he didn't like the booking" shirt.

Yeah, and it provides a venue to continue earning money once your body is done. That's something the indies do NOT have.
