To be fair if you're not in the CW title picture you're not doing house shows or PPVs (pre show included) so it's a financial hit too.
I think a lot of people are very emotionally attached to a lot of the performers on the show. Some really bought in hard after the CWC. Personally, I love Tozawa. So the backlash to all this talent being on just a show that ranges from "bad to fine I guess" instead of "good to transcendent" is much stronger than it would be otherwise.
Like, Tozawa is highly unlikely to come matching any of his high end Dragon Gate multi-man or singles performances while at 205 Live. And that is really depressing, which absolutely feeds into my dissatisfaction with 205.
yall acting like well booked wrestlers didn't walk out on companies all the time. the whole point is these guys have enough leverage to say "fuck this I'm out" and go find success elsewhere when the booker tries to pull some bullshit. neville didn't want to do the fucking job to enzo of all people.

During the 2015 season (right after the Amell/Stardust thing happened) Arrow was averaging 2.489 million an episode. So it was in the same ballpark as Raw/SD. Raw, for comparison, was averaging in the 2.8 million area

Yeah, I love Tozawa as well. Some of it is the talent he does work with now. He's a big standout, and has done a lot more than the guy I wanted to see more from, poor Gran Metalik

I can totally believe that Neville walked out because of money. He was apparently still working under his developmental contract, if he wasn't champ he wasn't going to be doing house shows or PPVs at all, and an ugly t-shirt that nobody will buy probably didn't help either.

Has anyone been able to provide a source for Neville working under his developmental contract? Because it makes no sense they would do that.
People get new contracts when they move to the main roster and get more money.

I watched it at the time and it felt like any other hokey celebrity thing. There wasn't any sort of prestige attached but I've never seen the appeal of Arrow so it's not like I'm the target audience.

I feel like people slamming Neville are forgetting nothing in WWE is gauranteed, they're contractors. They should be free to walk as they want

You have the opportunity to hit a grand slam, and it's a great capstone on your career. You can make plenty of money on your footage from being there. Madusa still makes bank, for instance.

If you get in the WWE system, do well and keep your nose clean there are innumerable sources of income you can get from it when you can't wrestle any longer.
NXT trainer, brand ambassador/PR functionary, recruiter, agent, creative etc etc etc.
