Have you ever seen a MAGA hat in the wild...?

Never thought about it, but now that I have, no. Seen other Trump gear (flags, etc.), but never the hat!

Not that I can remember. I almost bought one last year but never did. Like above, I've seen many signs (including the one I had), stickers, etc.

I live in Florida and can't even think of the last time I've seen one.

I've seen some fascinating bumperstickers, but never the hat.

I have, but cannot remember a specific person wearing it. Something associated with the party that half the country belongs to does not exactly shock me enough to take note when I see it worn.

Can't say that I have, no.

I live in DC, so unfortunately yes. In every tourist area they sell them on carts, and whenever a big right-wing political rally is in town big families arrive on buses all wearing the MAGA hat.

I'm not surprised if nobody outside of DC is seeing them, though, we're definitely an exception.

That is surprising as DC is solid, solid blue. They are the bluest, surest electoral votes in each election. Even when Reagan whupped Mondale in 84 and 49/50 states went red (exception being MN), DC went blue.

Yeah, I've seen a few (Canada). Guess which province.

Alberta.

No, but I live pretty close to Harvard in Cambridge, MA... You'd probably get tar and feathered here if caught with one.

I live and work in NoVA, but occasionally have to drive into DC. I don't recall seeing them on carts, but I haven't really paid attention. In the wild, I've only seen one, and it was sitting in the back of someone's car so you could see MAGA if you were driving behind them. Going into DC for pride and the march for science last summer, there sure were a lot of anti-bigotry related merch, which was awesome.

I've seen three or four in passing at a grocery store or similar business... Most people don't usually wear them. I see a hell of alot more bumper stickers and that kinda classless shit...

Yes, in DC. Its pretty disgusting seeing them out in the wild. And they are all on the most unattractive guys. Its a great repellant.

EDIT: I have to add that they were clearly tourists.

Yes, two young, blonde women in Baltimore who were visiting the USS Constellation. Was a very strange day altogether, that was just the icing on the cake.

Yes. The owner of the company that I used to work at was a big Trump supporter and he would wear it on occasion.

Plenty in
Stony Creek, NY plus lawn signs etc. My old job, from the owners to all the office staff. I hated that place.

Like I said, it's mainly tourists and rallygoers, and people who are selling hats to tourists. None of the locals wear them.

Haven't seen any in Pittsburgh area, despite a large Trump presence toward the rural and suburb areas around the actual city.

I think most people are self-aware of the risk of wearing that hat in public. You never know when a crazy extremist can beat you up just because you have a hat, and with all the ridiculous drama and hyperbole around it, that could happen pretty easily.

Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. By this old white guy (surprise) and his wife.

Gentrification is real (I assumed they were visiting their daughter who probably moved from Minnesota and wanted to show her parents her new cool apartment, hiding her Puerto Rican boyfriend in her roommates room)

If you think wearing a maga hat in public isn't a risk to your physical integrity, I think you are actually the one setting a new low of self-awareness. It's not even a what if, there's people who have been seriously beat up just for having a maga hat.

And spare us from all those "arguments" about the hat representing the worst of the past, so people who wear it are racist, sexist and basically KKK nazis. We are all aware of those fallacies, don't worry.

I once saw one in NYC on the subway after a long work day. This was during the election cycle. I stared at the guy with such disgust that I made him so uncomfortable that he got up and left the train. I think I maybe also fairly obviously took some pictures of him though. I was not having it.

EDIT: OMG. Sorry for the bump. I was searching eBay threads, saw this, and just posted without looking. Ugh.
